THE ARGUMENT

Mr. and Mrs. Jeff were sitting on the couch in their living room, watching the evening news when their phone rang. Mrs Jeff picked up the phone, and a voice on the other end informed her that their son Donald was missing.

"What do you mean he's missing?" Mrs Jeff exclaimed, feeling her heart racing with anxiety.

"I mean we haven't seen or heard from him in two days," the voice said. "He's not at home, and his friends haven't seen him either."

Mr Jeff grabbed the phone from his wife's hand and demanded more information from the caller. The caller informed him that they had filed a missing person report with the police, but so far, there had been no leads on Donald's whereabouts.

And Mrs Jeff spent the next few days frantically searching for their son. They called his friends and coworkers, put up missing person posters around town, and even hired a private investigator to help with the search.
