THE VISIT TO THE CELL

Amelia had been feeling hopeless and lonely for weeks. She couldn't shake off the feeling of being trapped and alone in her own thoughts.

She had stopped attending work and stopped talking to her friends.

Her phone rang countless times, but she ignored all the calls. It was as though she had given up on life.

One evening, Amelia sat alone in her living room, with a bottle of pills in her hand. She had convinced herself that there was no point in living anymore. She unscrewed the cap of the pill bottle, ready to swallow them all.

Suddenly, she heard a loud knock on the door. She ignored it at first, hoping that whoever it was would go away. But the knocking persisted. It was so loud and persistent that she felt like her head was about to explode.

Amelia reluctantly stood up and made her way to the door. She felt dizzy and disoriented, but she managed to get to the door. When she opened it, she saw Mrs Cox standing there, looking worried.
