Meeting Troy Family (II)

As they were eating Noah asked a question “Alton as you belong to the Teren Family what level of mage are you as you are quite weak to be a Knight.” Hearing the question Lucas and Sophia both glared at him but Lucas remembered that he had told them about Maria but forgot about Alton, Noah understood that he had asked something he shouldn’t have but he didn’t know the reason.

Lucas immediately said “Sorry Alton...” but before Lucas could finish Alton moved his head left and right and answered, “No problem Count I know Brother Lucas didn’t know about it.”

Alton looked at Noah with a confident look and answered “Brother Lucas I am none I am neither a Knight nor a mage right now. I was born with a body that was unable to cultivate” Lucas heard Alton and was shocked that he was talking with confidence and also at last he said right now.

“Sorry Alton I didn’t know about this,” said Noah in apologizing tone but Alton answered “No need to be sorry. So Brother Noah at which level you are?”

Noah was hesitant to answer but seeing a smile on Alton's face he answered “I am a squire.” Alton wasn’t shocked by this because Alton had not personally met Lucas in his last life but he had seen and heard about Noah and Ava in the Academy in his last life as they were famous as a sibling duo.

Seeing as the topic was touched Maria looked towards Ava and spoke, “Ava you are also training to be a knight.” Alton smiled at his sister to make the tension less so he turned towards Ava and asked “Really Ava what is your rank.”

Ava looked at Maria and Alton and then answered “I am a Soldier but will become a squire in a couple of weeks but how did you know Sister Maria.” Maria smiled and answered, “We have a lot of knights in the mansion so I could tell by your build and I will like to congratulate you as you will be breaking to squire by the end of this week.”

Ava, Noah, Lucas, and Sophia were shocked hearing this and then Ava asked “Sister Maria how do you know about it.”

Maria explained “The first three levels of knights are Trainee, Soldier, and Squire right.” Ava nodded then Maria continued “The first level is for strength building, the second is weapon learning and to break to the third level you need to start tempering your body with mana by making it enter your body and you are already able to feel the mana and little bit of mana has started entering the body but it is not enough for body tempering and according to my analysis you should have enought mana stored in your body to temper your body one time so you can become a squire.”

All the things went through above the head of Sophia as she was a normal human but Lucas had a smile on his face because all the things Maria said are right and so he asked: “Maria you are a mage because a knight is not that much mana sensitive we use it but mages are more sensitive to it.”

Maria nodded and answered, “Yes I am a mage.” A big smile on appeared on Ava face “Sister Maria are you saying the truth that I will become Squire in a couple of days.” Maria nodded to Ava but she was still confused to believe this or not as even if she was a mage her rank should not be high as Lucas had informed all the family members about Maria and her past so they will not be shocked when they came.

Alton smiled while reading Ava expression like a book and said “You should believe in Sister word she is quite talented and she is also a 3rd Star Elementary Mage.”

Troy's family was shocked and Ava nodded finally accepting what she was saying was true. Alton knew that Troy was famous for knights and even if they don't have mages in the family but Troy family was not to be taken lightly as they were one of the old families in the Empire and their family had a secret and powerful sword art.

The Troy family, Alton and Maria had talk about different things while eating the breakfast so after eating they changed their location to the garden for tea. As they all sat down and were being served tea in the garden Ava shivered while saying “The weather is getting colder.” Noah nodded and said “You are right, So Alton how was the weather in Teren Territory.”

Alton answered “Well the weather is not as cold as here and it will still take two or three more months for the winter season to come there.” Noah exclaimed “Lucky we have winter almost full year.”

Alton smiled but didn’t say anything when Sophia said looking at Alton and Maria “Alton, Maria I know that you must have brought your clothes but they may not be warm enough so you both should buy some from warm clothes from here.”

Maria nodded while saying “Yes Countess we will” then she looked at Alton “Countess is right our clothes will not be warm enough we should buy some.” Alton nodded because what Sophia said was right as it was colder here and answered “Okay let’s do that.”

Lucas said “Alton, Maria why don’t you both stay here for your stay rather than in another residence.” Hearing this Ava looked at Maria and asked “Sister Maria are you not going to stay here. You both should stay here.” Noah and Sophia also said same to Alton and Maria.

Alton answered “Thank you but as we will be staying here for quite some time so it is better for us to move in a residence.”

Noah asked “So how long are you guys going to be in North for.” Alton answered “It should be until I have to join the academy.” Hearing this the Troy family had a questioning look on there faces when Lucas asked “I just want to know but is there any kind of problem with the Teren Territory.”

Alton answered “No Count there is not such problem I just wanted to have a change of scenery and I also wanted to Travel so…” Before Alton could complete his words Sophia cut him “Kids it is better for you to come clean because we are going to be your acting guardians while you are here so we should know if there is any kind of problem so we can take precaution.”

Alton knew that Sophia was worried about them and she didn’t have any bad intension so with a smile he answered “As you all know that I am famous for being cripple but luckily I was able to fix it but there are some people in Teren family who would not like seeing me grow so I decided to travel some place secluded before starting and as I am famous for being cripple it can be taken that father is just sending me away from other people eyes.”

Lucas nodded as he knew a bit about Teren family from Aldwin so he could now understand why he was able to come to north but he was amazed and asked “Alton how did you heal yourself.” Alton stayed silent thinking of the excuse he should give he couldn’t tell them about system and he only told them about being able to cultivate is because who knows what kind of demands the system makes in the future so he may need his help.

Seeing as Alton was reluctant in telling him Lucas understood that there were secrets that no one wanted other to know so he gave up and said “It’s okay if it’s a secret.”

Alton took a deep breath and said “Thank you Count.” Lucas than said “You can only move in tomorrow as there is still some work being done there so for today you are our guest.”

Alton nodded and said “Thank you.” Noah who was sitting quite like he was thinking something finally spoke “Alton you said you fixed your body so which path are you going to choose will you be knight or do you have aptitude for mage and are going to be mage.”

As Alton heard Noah words a voice suddenly Dinged in his mind.
