SECOND CHANCE

“Jordan?” Ana approached Jordan, and she pulled him aside. “I need to ask you something.” And she added when she had Jordan where she wanted. A distant place where their voices could not reach a third eye.

“Are you okay? What bothers you?” Jordan’s voice melted at Ana's. It does. The girl had all the charms to lure any male gender. Unless you were not strong.

Ana motioned to Jordan, asking him to follow her gaze, and he obeyed. In a corner far from the crowd sat a lone figure. Sore eyes and lost in thoughts. Mariela was dying of anticipation of her fate and when the auspicious time would come for Jordan to finally do to her what he did to traitors. Remembering the two bloody incidents she witnessed in Jordan's actions, she feared for her dear self. “What do you plan to do with her?” Ana asked.

Jordan looked at the woman for a while. She looked miserable and pitiful. It was like she could sniff her head from so close, and the beardown fear that came with that sense was killing her slow
