Zhao Yao arrived at the palace early in the morning and had already changed her clothes. It was the perfect time when maids from outside entered the palace. Taking a spot in the line with her maid, Zhao Yao crossed her two middle fingers while looking around to make sure no one at all was around watching her. As long as none of the spies working for Song Huo and Dai Chan, Zhao Yao knew she could be safe. Watching as her maid gave the guard a square of gold, Zhao Yao sighed in relief as her maid signaled her to come to meet her. This was how she was able to finally pass by.
