“Just so you know, I would appreciate some piece and quiet”. Caleb said to Kira and Becky.

They’d fine a random draw afterwards and the room was shared. Miss Penelope, Kira, Becky and Caleb got one room.

This didn’t seat well with Caleb because he was the only guy amongst three girls.

“Are you guys hungry? Should I get you something to eat?”. Miss Penelope asked them.

“No. I don’t like to eat and read at the same time. It distracts me”.Caleb replied, his eyes never leaving his book as he pushed back his glasses.

Miss Penelope nodded her head as she turned to face the girls. “And you two?”

“I’m watching my weight”. Came Becky’s reply.

“And you, Kira?”

“I ate a while ago while at the park with Phil, thank you”

“Okay. In that case, I’ll be right back”.Miss Penelope said as she exited the room leaving the three kids in an awkward silence.

Becky who had always been keen in making friends, watched Caleb with interest.

“Can you stop staring at me?”. Caleb asked, offended not tearing his eyes from his book.

“Sorry. I’m just curious, that’s all”.

“About?”. Caleb asked not the least curious but just for the sake of asking.

“Why do you always read when you are incredibly smart?”

Those words finally got his attention as he spared Becky a glance. “And who said I’m incredibly smart?”

Becky waved her hands over his form. “I can see it all over you”.

“There’s no one in this world who is incredibly smart”. He scolded rather than taking the compliment with a food heart. “Get your facts straight!”.

“You are afraid of failing, aren’t you?”. Kira chimed in. “Just be honest”

Caleb scowled. “I’m not afraid of anything like that”.

“Then go a day without reading if you dare”. Kira challenged.

Caleb stared at Kira long and hard. “Just because you can go a day without your boyfriend, doesn’t mean I can”

“Hey, guys. Stop fighting”. Becky said with a cracked voice, scared that the worst might happen.

Just then Miss Penelope walked in as Becky sighed in relief. “I’m glad you’re here”

“Why? Was something going on?”. She questioned looking from Kira to Caleb, who’d springed up to his feet.

“I’m going to the extra room”. Caleb said as he walked out of the room.

“I need some time alone too”. Came Kira’s voice as she stood up and left with a phone in her hand.

Outside the room, Kira walked down the hallway going wherever her legs could take her trying to collect her thoughts. She couldn’t understand why Caleb was so irritable around her.

She stopped in her tracks as she heard a soft sob Infront of a room. Kira peeped at the room number, room 209. It was the room Desire, Cassey, Vivan and Liz stayed in.

Kira knocked on the door before slowly walking in where she was Desire hurriedly wipe her cheeks. “I couldn’t help but overhear you cry. Are your okay?”

Kira closed the door behind her as she looked around and saw that Desire was all alone. “Where are the rest?”

“Liz went to eat with Miss Penelope and the others”

“And Casey and Vivan?”

“Casey and Vivan…”. Desire broke into tears again as Kira moved towards her, consoling her with a pat on the back.

“Shh, it’s going to be okay”.

Desire noddes her head as she hugged Kira back. “I feel better now”

Kira refrained from Desire. “Now tell me what happened”

Desire sniffled her nose as she narrated her story to her. “I just saw a message on Vivan’s phone. It was from Casey. The contents of the message is quite disturbing”. Desire played with her nails, fidgeting. “I think he’s cheating on me with her”

Kira understood the full story now. “And are you scared that he might be actually cheating on you with your bestfriend?”.

Desire nodded her head. “Yes. I’m scared”.

“Then they are together. “

Desire looked at Kira surprised. She hadn’t expected her to say that. “What?”

“Your boyfriend is cheating on you with your bestfriend”. Kira said as a matter of fact.

On seeing the look of horror on Desire’s face, Kira smiled before bursting out into fits of laughter, clutching onto her stomach.

Desire looked at her as if she’d gone insane. “Hey, why are you…”. The hard lamp had come in contact with her forehead with a huge force, silencing her and making her tumbleto the ground.

Desire was overwhelmed with fear as hot tears brimmed down her cheeks. On looking up at the ceiling, she saw Kira’s face Infront of her as her eyes bulged.

Or was it Kira.. The face she saw had big bulging eyes as blood streamed down the base of it’s eyes to it’s cheeks. It’s eyes socket appeared empty, dark and lifeless.

It had a long smirk plastered across it’s face as Desire started to whimper.

“What? Are you scared?” The voice asked in a voice that sounded just like Kira’s.

With an urge to survive, Desire struggled, crawling her way to the door to survive.

She hadn’t even gone far yet when she felt the sharp talons of it’s hands against her ankle as it dragged her back towards it, her bloody nails scratching the floor.

When she was back to her starting point, she watched as it tightened it’s grip on the lamp and bashed it against her forehead. Over and over and over again till her body stopped moving.

It grabbed around and saw that a nearby fire had been started earlier to keep the room warm and it dragged Desire’s body towards the fire.

Seeing that her body was to big to be completely thrown into the fire, it just placed one part of her body into it. Her face.

When done, it felt something vibrate in it’s hands. It looked at it and realized that there was a phone in it’s hand and it was Becky’s.

It smiled as it saw the name ‘Sasha’ flash across the screen. “We have some new guests”
