05 : JIM gets scolded by his father Suno SIMAO

" Pedro ! Thank you very much for saving Imaleya's life. She is the person I love the most in this world. I love her more than her father Jim." Said Suno SIMAO approaching Pedro and clasped him into a hug.

" Don't thank me, Mr. Suno. Imaleya is now my wife and it's my duty to watch over her as well." Pedro replied, smiling because he was proud to have given joy to Imaleya's grandfather.

Indeed, Pedro was the hero of the evening and Imaleya was also surprised for that. While the guests congratulated Pedro one by one, JIM and Doctor Alvaro met in another empty room to chat. They both knew what happened to Imaleya and they needed to clarify some things.

" What did you do, Mr. Jim? " Dr. Alvaro asked, frowning. His heart was beating fast and his voice was shaking. He was very upset.

" Honestly, I don't know what happened. We both know that it was the poison that you gave me that I used. Indeed, I did put the poison in the water of Pedro and I can't understand how my daughter could drink this poisoned water. " Jim answered in a low voice. 

He was shaking with fear and didn't want people to hear his conversation with Doctor Alvaro. It was the first time he was really scared.

" You haven't been careful, but be very careful next time. Because of your mistake, my reputation may be tarnished. How would you expect people to look at me now that I've been unable to treat your daughter and that it was a poor son-in-law who did it? Yet he is not a doctor. " A doctor Alvaro who had his eyes fixed on JIM.

He threaded a hand through his hair 

Doctor Alvaro was really angry. It was the first time in his career that he failed to save a patient. He felt humiliated while Pedro treating Imaleya.

" Don't worry about your reputation. No one can doubt your health expertise. You're a great doctor and that's it. Have a beer and go home. We'll talk again tomorrow." JIM said, looking down .

 He tried to divert the topic and his mind. He was really disappointed to have failed this assassination attempt intended for Pedro.

After a few minutes of conversation, the two men separated. JIM went straight to his office while Dr. Alvaro came home. 

Alvaro was so ashamed of his failure that he couldn't bear to see people congratulating Pedro.

••• A FEW HOURS LATER •••

After having accompanied Imaleya to her room, Suno SIMAO joins Jim who was still in his office.

" What are you doing here alone son? I can't believe you isolated yourself after what happened at the wedding ceremony. First explain to me how Imaleya was poisoned? " Asked Suno SIMAO , scolding Jim.

" Dad ! I'm not in the mood to talk to you." Jim replied briefly.

Suno SIMAO was not satisfied with his son's response and he was pushing for answers. JIM meanwhile, preferred to remain silent. 

A silence that Suno SIMAO did not appreciate then he advances towards Jim and he slaps him. 

Annoyed, Jim gets up from his chair and wanted to slap his father in turn, but he hesitated at the last minute.

" Why are you hesitating? Go ahead and slap me. If you don't, then you're a bastard. You want to slap me too so that I know you're strong, don't you? Stupid ! " Added Suno SIMAO with an angry look

" Do you want answers? Alright. Sit down and listen to me. What just happened is your fault . Because of our family's tradition, I have to poison son-in-law Pedro so that Imaleya can access the management of the family business. If this damned tradition didn't exist, I wouldn't have to do this.” JIM paused.

 “Now instead of it being the son-in-law who drinks the poisoned water, it's Imaleya who drank that water. Now you're accusing me? Get out of my office please. " Jim continued, trying to control his anger.

 His father Suno SIMAO and him never had the chance to understand each other. Every time they have a debate, they end up yelling at each other.

" Idiot! Don't ever talk to me that way again. I'm your father." Suno replied aloud.

 He spoke so loudly that the bodyguards outside could hear their conversation.

“As for son-in-law Pedro, know that you no longer need to assassinate him. Nevertheless, I would like you to take care of him because I am beginning to like him and I will ensure that Imaleya will be the next CEO of the family business without her needing to be a widow.” Suno SIMAO stated.

His statement made JIM eyes widen in surprise.

“She is already a married woman and that's what counts for our associates. " Suno SIMAO said, casting his gaze towards the clock hung in front of him to read the time.

Then he slaps JIM again and he leaves. It was a way to show JIM who was the real boss of the SIMAO family. 

JIM on his side, had red eyes and a tight face. He was so pissed at his dad that he started smashing everything in the office.

Besides, Imaleya was resting. She had vomited a lot and she was struggling to speak. Pedro stayed with her for a while before letting her fall asleep.

••• LATER •••

It was night and Pedro was in his room. After a while, a bodyguard came to pick him up to take him to the living room. Imaleya already felt better and she was having dinner with her father.

" Come eat with us." Said Jim smiling as soon as he saw Pedro coming.

" Thank you very much sir." Pedro answered with a nice smile.

Arriving near them, Pedro sits down and takes a dish. He was about to serve himself to eat when Imaleya spat in the dish.

" Don't ever dare to eat at the same table as me again. You disgust me and I will always hate you even if you saved my life today " she gnashed her teeth in anger.

Then she gets up and goes to her room. But before leaving, she ordered all the cooks in the house never to serve the right meals to Pedro.

 From now on, it was only the rest of the meals that he will eat and Jim also approved of this decision.

However, after Imaleya left, Jim made it clear to Pedro that his life wasn't going to change just because he saved Imaleya's life.

" I bought you for 20 million dollars and I intend to make you suffer as many times as I want. Now lap up the saliva my daughter spat in your dish and go back to your room. You won't eat anything tonight.”Jim scoffed. 

He was angry and he wanted to punish Pedro to satisfy his anger.

Pedro meanwhile, he kept his calm without reacting.
