Chapter 27

A black car arrived at a small house on the city's outskirts, its headlights dimmed. The house appeared shabby and uninhabitable, with tall grass and scattered trash. Roger's cold face emerged from the car; he wore black sunglasses and a matching hat. He swiftly walked into the house. The early morning silence created an eerie atmosphere surrounding the house.

Roger entered through the back door, and the car that brought him was parked under a large tree next to the house. The tree was so big that the sedan was barely visible from the front.

"Mr. Roger!" Two men, wearing tank tops and engrossed in their phones on a sofa, immediately stood up and lowered their heads as Roger entered.

"Where is he?" Roger looked around the dimly lit room.

"He's in the bedroom, Mr. Roger."

One of the men pointed to a room nearby. Roger quickly walked towards the room.

As the door opened, a man, Orlando, was seen sleeping on a bed. Roger slammed the bedroom door, startling Orlando.
