Chapter 33

William woke up to a long buzzing sound in his ears. He held his face and said, "I'm not dead yet."

The middle-aged man sat up and unbuttoned his shirt, revealing a black light emanating from a necklace with red eyes hidden beneath it.

"I'm still not healed," he muttered. William hit the side of the bed and stood up. He walked weakly towards the door and called for his assistant, sitting and waiting for him.

"Ugh!"

"Sir, you should return to bed. You could have just called me instead of exerting yourself," Marcel said, guiding his boss back to the bed.

"I'm still not healed, Marcel. Why did it take Andrew so long to perform the healing? I'm starting to suspect that he already knows the truth, that he is my son?! What do you think? I can't wait any longer. The effects of this power are tormenting and eroding my body!"

William trembled with heavy breaths. He appeared genuinely frustrated with the reality he was currently facing.
