The driver was convinced and kept driving; it wasn't long before he arrived at the destination, and Enzo walked down before paying.
He looked around, and the place still looked the same. Since it was very early in the morning, a lot of places were still closed, including Suzy’s store.
So Enzo walked a few miles before arriving at Suzy’s place. He knocked on the door, and after a few knocks, the door pulled open. "Enzo,” Suzy gasped in shock.
She hugged him tightly before staring around and saying, “Come in.” They both walked in, and she locked the door.
“How have you been? You shouldn't have come back,” she said in a worried tone. Just yesterday, she noticed that Leo and his men were keeping an eye on her because they expected Enzo to show up at her doorstep; luckily, she sent them away.
“I am fine; everything will be fine tomorrow,” Enzo assured her, and she got confused.
“Antonio, the one who framed me, has decided to give himself up. Everyone will know I have a twin brother who is the shadow, and I am Sergeant Enzo Marino.”
“Do you both look that identical?” She had heard of identical twins, but there should be something to differentiate them; they can’t just be the same.
“I was shocked as well, and now even Leo is in my tail. He betrayed me."
“At first, I was mad at him, but I got to realize that it’s his job; he had no idea it wasn't you in the video." Suzy was so ignorant, and that's what made her the weakest among them.
“Leo saw me with Antonio; he stood right in front of us.”
Suzy’s eyes widened in shock. Leo knew all along that Enzo had a twin, and he didn’t help him.
"Holy Mary” Suzy sighed in disbelief. She never expected such from Leo; they were a family.
"So what will you do now? What if Antonio can't be trusted?”
“He will show up tomorrow,” Enzo said with full confidence. With the short time he spent with Antonio, he kind of started to trust him.

The doorbell rang, and they both became alert. “Are you expecting someone at this hour?” he asked, and Suzy shook her head in denial. Maybe it was her neighbor.
“Go hide.” Enzo hurried and hid in her bedroom while she pulled the door open.
“Good morning, Suzy." Leo stood there with an emotionless face. What the heck was he doing there?
Suzy was so nervous that she didn’t know how to act normally. "Leo,” she called before looking at her sitting room.
"What are you doing here?” she asked once she found her voice.
"I was in the neighborhood and decided to stop by; can I come in?”
"No,” she blurted.
“I mean, I am going out now, so you can’t come in.”
"At this hour?” Leo frowned before taking out his gun. He pushed Suzy inside and closed the door.
“What are you doing?” Suzy asked angrily, and he pointed the gun at her.
“Enzo, come out now,” Leo said. Suzy was shocked. How did he find out that Enzo was here? Has he been following her again, even after she warned him?
“Enzo isn't here,” she tried to cover up, but Leo had seen Enzo walk in with his own two eyes, so she couldn't fool him.
“At the count of three, if he doesn't come out, then I will have to resolve to violent manners.”
“You can’t shoot me," Suzy said with full confidence, they were like siblings and had lived all their lives together, so how could he hurt her?
“I am sure Enzo thinks otherwise.”
Enzo frowned. If Leo was able to betray him, then he could harm Suzy. He looked around and picked up a stick. He had to escape with Suzy before Leo’s men arrived.
“We are a family; why?” Tears rolled down Suzy’s cheeks. They all grew up in the orphanage, so shouldn't they be caring for each other?
“You chose him over me, so don't call me your family.”
“What do you mean by chose?"I would have taken your side if you were in his position,” she scolded angrily, and Leo didn't know what to say. He just gets mad when everyone says Enzo is the good one and he is the bad one.
“Leo, we could solve this. Instead, let's look for a way to catch Antonio; he is the enemy and not Enzo,” Suzy explained, and Leo sneered, Antonio was a weirdo and also a scary person. He doesn't want to plan anything for him; he aims to get the promotion promised to him by the colonel, and he can only get that if he arrests Enzo.
"One,” he started the countdown, and Suzy got so scared that she even forgot to breathe.
“Two”
Enzo held the stick tightly and slowly walked out of the bedroom. "Three,” Leo said and charged his gun. Enzo quickly jumped towards Leo and hit him with the stick.
“Ahh” Leo winced in pain, but he was too fast to push Enzo and point the gun at him.
“Hands up,” he ordered angrily when Suzy hurried and stood in front of Enzo.
“Don't hurt him,” she said. Enzo was shocked by her actions because he knew she was weak and naive, but this weak girl was shielding him from a gun.
“Suzy move,” Leo said, but she shook her head in denial. “Let’s talk; we are a family,” she pleaded, and Enzo sighed. Was all this worth it?
Antonio was going to give up himself tomorrow. “I give up; take me with you,” Enzo said as he placed both his hands in the air.
Leo got alerted; was he trying to play tricks on him or what? To see if he was serious, Leo threw the cuff at him. “Cuff yourself at the table if, indeed, you are giving up.”
“No, don't do that. You should run,” said Suzy, but Enzo wasn't planning on running; he wasn't a criminal or a serial killer.
"Fine,” he picked up the handcuffs and walked to the table, cuffed his hand with one side, and cuffed the other side on the table. "Done.”
Leo was still a little suspicious, so he walked closer and dragged the table, therefore tightening the cuffs. "Ouch!” Antonio groaned in pain, and Leo was now satisfied.“The cops will be here; this is your end,” he said happily. All he could think about was receiving a medal and a promotion for catching the most wanted criminal in Slovenia.“Suzy, everything will be fine, okay?” Enzo said as he made eye contact with her and signaled that she should check his bag once he was gone.Meanwhile…Antonio didn't just have fun as he said; he had a lot of fun as he met with an old researcher who lives in the deepest forest of Slovenia and acquired his mansion. And his men fixed the place like a laboratory, and they all partied together. “Boss, where should I place this?” one of his men asked as he carried a bag of flour.“On my head, fool,” he hissed angrily before puffing his cigarette and sipping his wine. This place was going to be his laboratory because he couldn't have a laboratory in It
Antonio freshened up and walked downstairs. He had to go meet with Zaza because it might get drastic if he himself showed up at his doorstep even after the invitation.“What are you getting yourself into?” his grandpa asked, and he sighed.“What are you talking about?” He had a lot on his mind and just needed a break from everyone. He has been hustling all his life, and it seems no matter how much he works, he will never be at the level of the other gangster families.“Don't mess with the Ginsen; stay in your lane. That family has more than fifty years of....."“And so? Do the years make them gods?” He butted in angrily before nodding.“Have a good rest, Grandpa; I have things to do." Antonio turned to walk out when he bumped into Damon, who was coming in. He clenched his fist and hit Damon hard across the face."Antonio,” his grandpa scolded angrily. Damon held his face, but he couldn't complain. He had expected the worst from Antonio.“When I say get a job done, you get it done... N
In such a situation, Damon didn't even need to think twice because there were only two options: his life or the Rolex. And a dead man has no use for a Rolex, so he composed himself.“No, when I asked Antonio why we hadn't approached him yet, He said he was an unnecessary part of our lives," he replied with full confidence. Antonio sighed in relief, and Zaza nodded.“I see. Here is the problem... I don't like being taken for a fool. So I can’t let two identical gangsters live, because I won' know when I am played,” he explained, and they were curious about his next word.“Since Enzo is a cop, he is also an unnecessary part of your lives. I will eliminate him,” he added, and Damon looked at Antonio, who didn't react. Was Zaza going to kill his brother, or what else did he mean by eliminating? Now he understood what his grandpa meant by not messing with the Ginsen.“And you, my friend, will get my formula back." Zaza stood up, and so did Antonio. Here was the part where he had to act sho
Suzy walked in with a nervous look. The first thing she noticed was the man sitting on the chair in the center of the room. He looked like Enzo, and the only difference was the way he dressed and the dangerous aura surrounding him.“You are my brother’s girl,” Damon said with a chuckle as he scanned her from head to toe. She wasn't fashionable or too pretty.“That should be Amelia." Antonio corrected him, and Suzy frowned. She had never liked Amelia for Enzo, but she didn't have any say as Enzo was madly in love with her.“And you are the girl who bottles up her feelings,” he added, and Suzy bowed her head, embarrassed. She still felt bad for falling in love with someone she should consider her brother.“Will you save Enzo? He trusts you,” she asked, and Antonio nodded. Of course, he will save Enzo.He signaled at Jude, who slowly walked towards Suzy. “Tell me, how did Leo find out about his whereabouts?"Did you perhaps..."“No, I will never do that to him. It turns out Leo has been k
Antonio stood at the door of the basement as he admired his laboratory. He was getting there slowly. “The lady is up,” Jude said, and he nodded.“Go to town, find out about the gangster families in Slovenia and how powerful they are, what they like and hate, and also how they operate. He passed his order, and Jude was confused. He wanted to stay quiet and do as he was told, but he was very curious. Wasn't the problem they had with the gangster families in Italy enough? Why was he trying to get the ones here to notice him?“Do you plan on forming an ally with them?" he asked after a few steps backward."I just want to know which of them is loyal to Zaza and which is against him; it’s better to know than to be idle,” Antonio answered before leaving to go see Suzy. When he arrived in the bedroom where she was tied, he found Damon trying to feed her something to eat. He chuckled. This kid brother of his was unbelievable. He will never stop pissing him off.“Have some food, love; when you
Suzy couldn't fall asleep the entire night as she was waiting for Damon. She felt that with him by her side, she could escape from here and save Enzo. After hours of waiting, Damon finally stopped by with a tray of food and water. He placed the food next to her before untying her hands.“Why are you untying me?” She was curious because she had been tied the entire day.“Eat up and go to sleep,” Damon said, turning to leave when she grabbed his hand.“Enzo is your brother as well; won't you help him?” She asked, and Damon slightly pushed her hand away.“I wish I could help him, but I can't."“Save me, help me escape, and I will help him." Suzy was so desperate to escape and also save her friend, but Damon found this funny. A girl who couldn't even care for herself and trusted Antonio to come meet him in such a forest—could such a girl save Enzo?“I will help you,” he said. “But first, tell me how you intend to save Enzo," Damon added, and Suzy bit her lip. She had no idea how to do tha
Back in court, the courtroom was filled with military men as they all came to watch the case of one of theirs.Aunt Jackie and the others didn't show up; instead, they stayed in church to pray for Enzo’s freedom. They even had to fast for 72 hours. The room fell silent as the bailiff called out, "All rise! The Honorable Judge Johnson is presiding." Such cases used to be handled by Judge Walle, but he was murdered by the shadow, who is believed to be Enzo.Everyone in the courtroom stood as Judge Johnson entered, his black robe flowing behind him. He settled in his chair, his gaze steady and authoritative."Please be seated," the judge commanded, and the room obeyed.Enzo stared at Lieutenant Gilbert, who nodded in encouragement. His heart hurt for the man he considered a son.The prosecutor rose to his feet, his voice clear and confident. "Your Honor, ladies and gentlemen of the jury, we are here today to seek justice for the victims—Judge Walle, Attorney Marcel, Senior Officer James,
“Words don’t stand as proof, but you wouldn’t know that because you weren’t trained in the ways of the law,” Antonio said, making everyone believe that since Enzo was a sergeant, he knew how the court functions.“Let him speak,” the judge warned Antonio, who nodded. "Also, this is something I didn’t want to say out in the open. This was the biggest secret of my life. I had begged the lieutenant to recommend Leo to be a first-class private; he got promoted because I had pleaded for him,” Enzo blurted, and Lieutenant Gilbert was completely convinced that the person talking was Enzo.Leo’s eyes widened in shock. He had been a normal cop for a long time, and he suddenly got promoted to being a first-class private. He thought it was because of his capabilities.“That’s true as well,” Lieutenant Gilbert said, and Leo gritted his teeth. He got his promotion because of Enzo.“Over to you,” the judge said while pointing at Antonio. Antonio found this amusing because he had come prepared. He d
