Jasper too told them not to worry about anything. He ascertained that whatever Jessica was telling them was the naked truth and that the contents of the letter were true. Their daughter was alive as they were told.
“My King, do not worry about the contents of the letter being a lie. It is true that your daughter is alive and she was here. They fled last night with the King or, should I say Martin and nobody knows where they are.” said Jasper to Kang’ethe.
“May I ask you wizard, how do you know of the letter being true and how sure are you that Martin did not go to kill her?” asked Kang’ethe.
“Don’t you think it would have been much easier for him to kill her while everybody watched than go through the trouble of killing her in the forest. No man can go through such trouble just to kill a woman but for the love of a woman. About the letter, I know that it talked the truth for I am the one that wrote it myself,&rdquo
“Why is it that a powerful King as you could sneak out of his own Kingdom with a peasant like me? What is there for me to offer more than Kamu could to you?” Catherine asked Martin.“Well it’s good that you ask that question. There is more to it than it meets the eye besides the good one feels in power. What good is power without happiness, without love and someone to care about and one who cares about you?” asked Martin.“True. There is not joy in power without happiness but I do not see how someone like me could offer you happiness my lord. I am not worthy of this.” replied Catherine.“Save it Catherine. You are worthy of every bit of my actions. Someone like you can offer me joy when someone like me is in love with you. I will say this that I have said to no woman before, I love you Catherine. Since I saw you at the fortress, I knew that you were my happiness and that the gods had granted me that which matters m
Upon hearing this, Kang’ethe could not believe his ears. He thanked the gods much for this turn of event. The thought of Martin falling for a woman was hard to believe. Since the note said it and Martin had written it himself, Kang’ethe seemed convinced.More so, Kang’ethe could not believe that Martin had fallen for his lost daughter. This was a sign that his dream for peace between the two Kingdoms was about to become true. There was to be no more fighting after this turn of events. Of all the possibilities that Kang’ethe had about this peace, Martin falling in love with Catherine was the least of all.Dorothy was also very pleased and ran to hug Joseph, forgetting that their love was a secret all along. She requested him to rule Kamu by her side as the King. This got majority of the people surprised. It got those that doubted the existence of the gods to revoke their doubts.“My love, praises be unto the gods for this beautiful d
The herbs that the warriors had been sent by the wizard to get could not save everyone. On the process, even some of the warriors were infected by the virus. As the days passed by, the situation was getting out of hand faster than they could cope.Martin and his love arrived at the Lampa Dynasty. Janet was so much shocked after the sight of Kate in the company of Martin. What came to her mind was that, Martin had caught Catherine in the forest and commanded her to take him back to her home. The improvement was a sign of a full recovery. She was not pleased by the sight of her daughter with Martin. On arrival, what she thought was not the case. Kang’ethe and his group of people finally arrived at Lampa to find a very sorrowful situation. Some people had perished of this disease and many more were infected. Without much waste of time, they got down to work. Finally, Kang’ethe and his wife Jacinta laid eyes on their long lost daughter. It was a moment of joy as this family reunion was taking place. They had so much to share and talk about but they could not do so until a later time because the people needed a cure.As they gave cure to the people, Martin and Kang’ethe were talking about how all had come to happen.“Martin, allow me to ask; do you believe in the existence of the gods?” asked Kang’ethe.“If you asked me the question some weeks ago, I would have said they do not exist but I have a different feeling now,” replied Martin.“Why do you say this son? What made you believe in the gods after all the years of disbelieve?” ask
Somewhere, in one of the great and iconic countries of East Africa was a small town. It was in this small town that two among God’s wonderful creation met and fulfilled one of the greatest commandments. They fell in love. Not too long after, a miracle happened and a boy child was born. No amount of effort could fade the joy and smile on their faces upon holding him in their hands. It was a miraculous and glorious moment. As it turned out, they surely had a reason to praise God in thanksgiving for the special gift. Years later, he grew… no, wait a minute… well, I grew to fulfill my destiny, as it was the will of God. The name of my Country is Kenya, and, that of my town, the great Meru. God Almighty brought me to this earth as a messenger of his True word to his people. So you know… I went to school just like
What is freedom? What is the price for freedom and how much does it cost? Well, someone, or, even better, majority are thinking of slavery, discrimination, abhorrence, greed for power and survival for the fittest as incidences of the far past. We are free, a theme song for each day. It has become food to the hungry, clothing to the naked and shelter to the homeless.Blessed be our ancestors and predecessors for paying the price of freedom. This we say with great respect and pleasure for them heroes with special days set for the celebrations. Not to say that we should not celebrate neither do I denounce the heroes, no! I respect and celebrate our heroes’ sacrifice, that I do just like any other patriot. Our ancestors and predecessors did their best to bring us freedom. What they never did was to pay for the freedom in full. You see, freedom is a body that needs to be fed regularly to stay healthy. It is not that we do not feed this so-called freedom, veto. Actually,
The Kamu and Lampa were Credonia’s two illustrious Kingdoms that lived with much antipathy. The two were ruled by elderly Monarchs. Kang’ethe was the King of the Lampa Kingdom, and Guantai was the King of the Kamu Kingdom. They had ruled for ages without anyone to dispute them or their régime. This aversion, however, did not always exist. It ripened from a falling-out between the two Kings about leniency, love, and other privileges to their underdogs. Guantai, the Kamu King, never wanted the so-called slaves enjoying any of these privileges. He had the belief that, oppressing these populaces guaranteed a monarch’s smooth and unhampered domination. Disparate, Lampa’s King, Kang’ethe, happened to have an atypical impression on the same. He believed that people had the right to experience love, and deserved a fair headship. He wanted his people to have the privileges be they slaves, or no slaves. The incongruity eventually led to a war that left Kang’ethe without a daughter hence the
Weeks later, after much struggle remedying the King, with assistance from the entire potencies including wizards, witches and the old religion, it was in due course to no avail. To end, King Guantai succumbed to the illness. His death was a dawn to darkness to the Kamu people. King Guantai was not the best, more so, in comparison to King Kang’ethe, but his death was no good news in the ears of Kamu people either. Ages past and present, they prayed for the end of his reign. However, the outcome after his demise was not what they prayed for or thought of it to be. His death meant assumption of the throne by his son prolonged, and patently the sure guarantee of King Martin’s reign. That was so because, after a King’s death, the throne was to be entrusted to the son, the sore heir to the throne, and a core offspring of the royal bloodline. Although the people of Kamu prayed to the gods day and night to change this tradition, they did it as an act of faith. It was a time that, the people

He drafted a note and left it for his sister Dorothy. This note was saying nothing about his love for Catherine. He was just letting Dorothy know that he had left and never knew when he was to come back. He left the Kingdom to her as the rightful ruler. It is with much disbelieve that I am writing this note to you my princess and to the people of Kamu. I wish to let you know that I have decided to follow that which matters to me most and to fulfill the will of the gods. I have lived for years without having a course for my life but the gods have proven to have a better destiny for me. One that is more satisfying. I am abdicating my kingship as of this day. I leave you as the Queen of Kamu Kingdom. This Kingdom needs a Queen and person like you. I pray that you rule them to the best of your ability. Make sure to change that which I did wrong. Let your rule spread love. Let the people feel love and share it without fear. The people also deserve a life like those of us in power.
He was curious to see this girl and to hear her story and what it was that she was looking for in Kamu. Meanwhile, he told the sister that they had done something good to wait for his decision for the peace deal was on. Remember, it was not that this deal was done but he said this because he found the wizard absent and had to wait for him before doing anything. In the days before, if someone was caught around the Kamu territories, they were to be sent to the gallows for execution without any trial. Since Martin wanted to show that they were in terms with Kang’ethe to his people, after this girl told him that she was only after an herb to save her mother, he ordered the girl to be sent to the dungeon for further investigation. The people of Kamu were totally against this and wanted her executed. The next day, Martin went to the dungeon to hear the girl’s side of the story properly. She narrated the whole story to him and told him that her mother was to die o
On the material day, the wizard and the warriors arrived at the sister’s place to find her in bed very ill. Upon laying eyes on him, the sister was very happy to see that he was still alive. It had been such a long time since they met.“Ooh brother, praises be to the gods for keeping you alive for all these years. I thought you had died for you never came to see me ever since you disappeared. It is good to see you brother,” said Janet.“Good to see you too sister. I came as soon as I got the feeling that you might be in danger. I am so sorry for you sister but I shall do everything to see that you get well.” said Jasper.“Tell me brother, if you told me that you have been leaving in the forest for all these years, I could believe but as I can see, you are from Kamu. What did you do to these people to like you and even give you warriors for escort? That’s the last thing I would expect after what happened during your escap
