Upon her arrival into the chambers, Dorothy was shocked by Jessica’s visit. Dorothy asked her of where she was and why she had visited even without notice. Although it was weird for Dorothy to question her visit, Jessica claimed to be checking on her. It was her duty as the chief maiden to check and make sure the Princess was okay.

Due to the little span of time between the Captain’s departure and Jessica’s arrival, the Princess was sure of one thing. Jessica and Joseph must have met somewhere along the way. This was no good news to her bearing in mind the many secrets that needed to keep secret.

Though Jessica was so close to her, she was not at a position to know about her relationship with the Captain or the mission. Without any further waste of time, Dorothy came up with a way to lower the heat in the room.

”I believe you have come across the Captain on his way out as you were coming?” asked Dorothy.

“Yes my princess. I have met him just after the stairway. He has told me that,

Lampa Kingdom was still under tension and preparation in wait of this fateful event. King Kang’ethe and his wife Jacinta were the most troubled. They could not stop to blame themselves for having no heir to the throne, if not the gods. They were certain that it was the main reason why King Martin threatened to attack. If wishes were horses, they could have an heir to the throne for; they could have given an ear to the council members to adopt. King Kang’ethe, back in the days got married to Jacinta while still in power. After their marriage, he realized the pleasure of being in love. He loved Jacinta so much that he never dreamt of a life without her. It was during this time that he decided every man had the right to love and the people were at liberty to fall in love. A year later, they were blessed with a beautiful daughter and heir to the throne. Lampa being the only Kingdom where the people had the right to love, this brought a lot of tension in the other Kingdoms. After a while

In between the last day of battle and this day that he was summoned by the King, he took his time to consult the Princess of the way forward. He was cautious enough to avoid being spotted or raise suspicion. The reasons he gave the King were those they had discussed with his lover. This shifted the blame from his side to the battalion as a whole. Finally, they concluded that, something better needed to be done for next time. “Captain, tell me, what happened out there at the battle field such that I had to withdraw the warriors. Is this Captainship becoming a burden to you, or, what is it that made you lose to Lampa for God’s sake. Enlighten me Captain,” asked the King. “My lord, it’s not that the Captainship is a burden to me but, the Lampa warriors were quite prepared for us and some new warriors were not well prepared. We did not have enough time to have them be the best my King,” said the Captain. “So Captain, you are telling me that the warriors were not well prepared. Since whe

Without waste of anymore second, she came up with her own theory to get Joseph off the hook. In this theory, she made sure to implicate Mwithali to get him off their backs completely. This meant that Mwithali had to die no matter the cost. He was becoming a stump on their way to success. Although she had this figured out, she could not tell it directly to the King. It could either get her and Joseph exposed, else it could sound staged or vague. She had to do it in such a way not to raise an alarm. She also needed to make sure that Joseph knew of her plan. Their talk and accusations towards Mwithali needed to match; else, it could mean disaster. This approach to the King needed to use facts such that, he was supposed to convince himself of Joseph’s innocence. This therefore meant that, Dorothy had to use a trusted warrior to deliver an encrypted message to the Captain. He was to inform the Captain of her plan. After she did this, she was now free to open up to the King and tell of thi

One week was not that much time. It elapsed and the day for the execution of Mwithali and his minions had come. From the dungeons, they were taken as the people gathered into the arena in wait for yet another historic event. In Kamu, only such things and those like them would make the cut into the books of history. To those still with humanity in their souls, this was never a source of exhilaration. It was true that Mwithali and these warriors had made a mistake but they did not deserve to die.No man had the right to take away another man’s life but, would you say such to King Martin, you could easily find your name next to Mwithali’s as an example to others. Most of the people did not like such events. They left them hurt and less of their loved ones. For Martin and those of his kind, this was a sign of true leadership and the duty of a true King. Whenever such executions had to be done, it was only the ordinal people that suffered and not those of the roy

This got her even more confused and therefore, she had serious homework to do. She had to find out why the maiden girl was immune to her great powers. At the back of her mind though, she had a clue of what could be causing it but it was hard for her to come to speed with the fact. There was once a rumor that, there lived people that were immune to such powers and the like. The why she could not come to speed with it was the how they were born. Those that had such abilities could only be born of a witch and a wizard of the highest order. She could not dare to imagine that Martha could be one of those. After all, she had the suspicion that Jessica might be her mother and there was no chance for her to be a witch. With all this information, she had quit a task to accomplish in piecing it all together and to make sense of it.As far as she was concerned, Jessica could never be a witch and, even if she was, there was no way that her husband could have been a wizard of the h

King Martin was following everything to the last detail because he did not want any stone unturned before the next attack. This close attention to the progress of his mission unveiled another discovery. People in the Kingdom had started to die mysteriously without any probable cause. This was not something to assume or joke about. Having been a member of the Kamu society since childhood, he definitely knew what that meant. The witches were back in action again and this time he had no clue whatsoever of what they could be after and why.Their biggest problem and dilemma was that, the witches were back and there was nobody in existence that could counter their powers. The Princess’s linage was the most powerful of witches in the land. Martin was sure that this finished with the death of his grandmother. “Why is it that a powerful King as you could sneak out of his own Kingdom with a peasant like me? What is there for me to offer more than Kamu could to you?” Catherine asked Martin.“Well it’s good that you ask that question. There is more to it than it meets the eye besides the good one feels in power. What good is power without happiness, without love and someone to care about and one who cares about you?” asked Martin.“True. There is not joy in power without happiness but I do not see how someone like me could offer you happiness my lord. I am not worthy of this.” replied Catherine.“Save it Catherine. You are worthy of every bit of my actions. Someone like you can offer me joy when someone like me is in love with you. I will say this that I have said to no woman before, I love you Catherine. Since I saw you at the fortress, I knew that you were my happiness and that the gods had granted me that which matters m

They fled last night with the King or, should I say Martin and nobody knows where they are.” said Jasper to Kang’ethe.“May I ask you wizard, how do you know of the letter being true and how sure are you that Martin did not go to kill her?” asked Kang’ethe.“Don’t you think it would have been much easier for him to kill her while everybody watched than go through the trouble of killing her in the forest. No man can go through such trouble just to kill a woman but for the love of a woman. About the letter, I know that it talked the truth for I am the one that wrote it myself,&rdquo

I wish to let you know that I have decided to follow that which matters to me most and to fulfill the will of the gods. I have lived for years without having a course for my life but the gods have proven to have a better destiny for me. One that is more satisfying. I am abdicating my kingship as of this day. I leave you as the Queen of Kamu Kingdom. This Kingdom needs a Queen and person like you. I pray that you rule them to the best of your ability. Make sure to change that which I did wrong. Meanwhile, he told the sister that they had done something good to wait for his decision for the peace deal was on. Remember, it was not that this deal was done but he said this because he found the wizard absent and had to wait for him before doing anything. In the days before, if someone was caught around the Kamu territories, they were to be sent to the gallows for execution without any trial. Since Martin wanted to show that they were in terms with Kang’ethe to his people, after this girl told him that she was only after an herb to save her mother, he ordered the girl to be sent to the dungeon for further investigation. The people of Kamu were totally against this and wanted her executed.
