Amir looks at Sadie and refuses to utter any words. He wonders what she will do next. Five minutes later, Sadie walks into the sitting room, clutching a bag. As soon as Amir sights the bag, he wonders what can be inside the bag. “Someone gave me this today,” Sadie said. “And who could that be?” “It’s one of my clients. He came to thank me for helping him overcome his depression.” “Well, it is the result of hard work. What is inside the bag?” Looking inside the bag, Sadie says, “It is a wrapped present. What can this be?” Sadie removes the wrapped present from the bag. She drops the bag on the table and moves in the direction of Amir. Sitting beside Amir on the couch, Sadie unwraps the present. She was surprised to see a box. “What is inside the box?” Amir said.

She stands up from the couch and leaves the sitting room. Rose returns to the sitting room, clutching a tray. She drops the tray on the table. She pours a soft drink inside the cup and gives it to Delvin. Delvin collects the cup gently from Rose and thanks her. “You are welcome,” Rose said, exposing her set of teeth. Delvin sips the drink gently. He loves the coldness that the drink gives to his throat. He looks at Rose intermittently as if he wants to say something, but he keeps mute. She is dressed in a brown short-sleeved shirt and brown jean trousers. He is dressed in a yellow shirt and he has a wristwatch round his wrist. Amir raises his head up only to see Sadie. Sadie is dressed in a light gown. She looks like one who hasn’t taken a bath. She stands right in front of Amir and says, “You are ready for work already, I guess.” “Yeah. I will be leaving for work very soon.” “You have to eat before you go.” Sadie sat down beside Amir on the couch. She is looking at Amir’s phone as if she is trying to check what Amir is doing on his phone. Amir stops glancing through his phone. He fixes his gaze on Sadie and says, “I don’t think I will take anything this morning.” Sadie is shocked to hear this from Amir. Standing right in front of Amir are five workers who are all dressed in black polo shirts, black trousers and white caps. There are three men and two women. They all bow their heads and greet Amir. Amir refuses to answer them. He frowns his face instead. The workers wonder what they have done that will allow Amir to frown at them.
