Since you have lacked your senses.” Silas keeps quiet, looking at everything that is happening between mother and daughter. He wants to utter some words, but he resolves to keep quiet. I will be leaving for California for a seminar on Monday.” “You mean the seminar you once told me about?” Doctor Ryan said, looking in the direction of Silas. “Yeah, that’s true. What are you doing here?” Silas said. “Well, I myself and a friend were heading to his spouse's house.” “He hopped into that shop to buy flowers?” Doctor Ryan said with a gesture. “I hope everything is well with this friend of yours? The facial expression on your face doesn’t show that everything is fine.” “Really? You seemed to be observant. Well, this friend in question had a quarrel with his spouse. He wants me to follow him to his spouse's house so that he can apologize to her.” “And you will settle the dispute between those two,” Silas said. Doctor Ryan finds Silas’ words to be so funny. Rachael looked at Silas closely for a few seconds. She didn’t want to agree with what Silas said, but she had no choice. “I have heard you,” Rachael said slowly. Silas can hear Rachael’s words clearly, but he doesn’t utter any words. Rachael and Silas keep eating their food. About eight minutes later, Silas finishes eating his food. He drops his spoon inside the empty plate. The plate is very clean. Nobody can believe that the plate has been used to eating. Silas must be a true lover of beans. Silas carried a bottle from the table. He pours a little water inside a mug and drops the bottle on the table. He drinks the water and he soon empties the mug. After sitting on the couch for ten minutes, Sadie thinks of going to the bedroom to pick up her phone. She stands up from the couch and wears her slippers properly. Sadie opens the door and enters the bedroom. She is very shocked to see Amir sleeping on the couch. She glances through the wall clock and says, “When did you walk into the bedroom, Amir?” Sadie waits patiently, hoping that she will get a reply from Amir. It seemed as if Amir didn’t hear Sadie's voice. Sadie could see that Amir's shirt and shoes were scattered on different parts of the bedroom. Amir is sleeping on the bed. The rays emanating from the bulbs can be seen to shine on the center table. The curtains of the windows are moving in the direction of the wind coming from outside and the air coming from the standing fans. Sadie is sitting on the couch. She is dressed in a gown. This gown is yellow, though there are some parts of the gown that have a white color, like the neck region. Sadie is glancing through her phone when she hears someone call out her name. She could hear the sound of the masculine caller clearly. She raises up her head only to see Amir. Amir’s face looks dull. He must have just woken up from a long sleep. Sadie takes her gaze away from Amir and fixes it on her phone. Amir becomes surprised. He had hoped Sadie would greet her. He wonders the reason behind Sadie’s behavior. Sitting down on a couch, Amir says, “Can’t you see me? Or

Amir stops laughing and says, “Those kids really want my dad to build a company for me.” “Those kids can go to hell for all I care. All I know is that you will be the one to build a company by yourself.” “I have heard from you, ma. I pray those kids don’t hear you. Can we go and eat breakfast now?” “Yes,” Sadie said with a smile. Amir is at the back as the twosome walk out of the sitting room. He is walking slowly as if he has no goal to achieve. When the twosome get to the dining room, they sit down on different chairs. There is an empty chair between where Sadie is seated and where Amir is seated. “Hold on while I set the table,” Sadie said. Sadie leaves the dining room without looking backwards. She applies a red gloss on her lips and looks at herself in the mirror. She loves what she sees inside the mirror because the red gloss seems to match with the color of her skin. Sadie clutches a pair of earrings from the bed. She inserts the earrings into her two ears. The earrings are daggling and are touching her shoulders. She picks up a blue beret from the table and wears it. The beret covers her long hair. After gazing at herself several times inside the mirror, Sadie clutches her blue bag and leaves the bedroom. She enters the sitting room and she can see Amir and Jasper sitting on the couch. Amir is happy with the appearance of Sadie. He tells Sadie that she looks so beautiful in her attire.
