Gabriel was confused now, from the surprised and also confused look on the General’s face to the fact that the same look was mirrored on the waitress’s face. He arched his brows, did the General and this girl know each other from before.

“Kiera? Is this really you?” Aiden asked, staring her down from head to toe. This was the same girl he had met earlier today, who scolded him for being harsh on Hope and the same girl who had given him twenty dollars when he was in dire need— even though she claims not to remember their first meet or his identity. But with the way she was staring surprisedly at him, it showed that she did recognize him this time.

“I should be asking the same. I can’t believe this is you Aiden. You look so…so, different.” She stated matter–of–factly. She must be so shocked because she had seen him earlier today looking ragged and dilapidated and now he was in designers, it must be too much for her to take in.
