Aiden quickened his pace, catching up with Kierra as she briskly made her way toward the entrance.

"Kierra, wait," Aiden called out,

She turned, her scowl still evident on her face. "I don't have time for this, Aiden. I've got a performance in a few minutes."

He took a breath, his words coming out in a rush. "I'm sorry, Kierra. I didn't mean to be rude on the phone, and I certainly didn't mean to lead you on. I—"

She interrupted, her tone sharp and accusatory. "Sorry for what? For rudely ending the call on me? Or for playing with my feelings while you're engaged to someone else?"

Aiden winced, "Kierra, it's not that simple. I should've been more honest with you from the start. I never meant to hurt you."

She crossed her arms, "Save it, Aiden. I've heard enough. If you're here to apologize, it's a bit too late. Now, let me do my job."

"Please, let me explain," He pleaded but she raised her hand up, signaling that she was done with hun and then she turned away.
