Chapter 7

"Take a look at the badge again; this is a giant dragon and not a bear!" Eric said, causing the security guard to take the invite again, taking one last look.

"You're right," he said in a rage.

This mistake could make him lose his job; thinking of the possibility of that, he was immediately enraged.

"You came here, thinking that you could deceive your way in?" he asked.

"I'm not surprised that you could stoop so low, Ethan. You must have planned this with Roseanne, but do you actually know what's funny?" She paused, turning to Eric before shifting her gaze back to them.

"It's funny how it almost worked if not for Eric," she added.

"You should be grateful for the kind of senior manager that you have because trust me, if any other official had found out, you would have lost your job," Dana said.

"You're dressed in a fine suit, but your attitude downgrades your personality." The security guard commented, feeling disgusted.

"Anyway. I didn't forget our bet. I'm looking forward to seeing the both of you on your knees," Dana said, smiling mischievously.

"But there's one more thing! I can save the both of you from the shame and embarrassment by letting you guys in, but Ethan has to do something for me first,"

 Roseanna scoffed, gazing at her, "And what is that?"

"Ethan will have to beg me. Apologize to me for what happened yesterday, and I want him to do it on his knees. I want to see that you regret bringing the papers for me to sign in the first place," she said, but Ethan rolled his eyes and shifted his gaze to the security man, the person who he actually has to explain to.

"Look here, I'm sure you're misunderstanding...."

"What's going on here?" The security captain walked in; he had been noticing the arguments going on for minutes, and he needed to come see it for himself.

"Sir, this invite card was forged. The man and his lady tried to fool me; how desperate can one be?" he added.

The security captain took the invite from him, and his eyes widened on seeing it; he immediately threw his hand across the security guard's face in anger.

"How did you get this job? Didn't you read through the security handout?" He asked, frowning.

"This is the company's supreme invite card, the highest in ranking of the three cards that the company has," the man informed, furiously.

He hoped that Ethan and Roseanne would not be offended because if they were offended, then he would probably be the one to lose his job for letting this kind of mistake happen in the first place.

Eric refused to believe what the security captain was saying. It all sounded like gibberish to him.

"You can't be serious, Captain. The company rarely breaks out this card. There's no chance they'll extend an invite like this to… him,'" Eric said, with Dana quickly chiming in to agree.

"That's right. I know this man, and he's not even worthy of any kind of invitation. The only reason someone like him should be standing here with us should be for cleaning the whole place up; at least that's the only thing he can do," Dana frowned.

"This invite is fake, Captain; take a good look at it," Eric said.

Seeing that Eric and Dana insisted that the invitation card was fake, the security guard felt a little relieved. He immediately distastes Ethan and Roseanna for being the reason why he was slapped in front of so many people.

"Mr. Eric, you can't dismiss the invitation as fake without any evidence. And actually, I'm aware that one of these supreme invitation cards was sent out just yesterday..."

"I'm sure it was meant for someone else. I mean, there are influential people in that hall right now, and it's unlikely the company would overlook them and send a commoner like him an invitation as exclusive as this." Eric paused,

"The card is fake, Captain. There's no way he can prove that the company gave him that card!" He added. 

"There's actually a way," the security captain said.

"What way is that?" Dana asked.

"The company keeps tabs on the invites that go out and the people who receive them. We can go through it and know who the supreme card ended up with." The security guard said, causing the captain to nod.

"Get us the tab. It's in my office," he ordered.

The guard left, so sure that Ethan and Roseanne would receive the biggest disgrace of their lives today.

Dana grinned, "You can actually confess now before the tab comes. What I actually want you to do shouldn't be that difficult. Go on your knees and beg me; tell me how you regret making that decision." 

"I'm sure he's probably worried not to kneel and stain the suit. He probably used all the money he has been saving up from you to rent the suit," Eric said.

Just then, the security guard came with the tab, handing it to his captain.

The captain took it and asked, "When did you receive this card?"

"I received it yesterday, and the courtesy was Ethan Ford," Roseanne informed.

The captain checked the invites that were sent out. "Just two invites were sent out yesterday," he said, causing a sly smile to appear on Dana's face; she anticipated that the captain's next reply would bring Ethan and Roseanna shame.

"And the supreme card is one of them. The receiver is Wal...."

"Roseanne Walmart," he informed, causing Roseanne to immediately let out a long sigh, one that she didn't think she was holding in.

Dana and Eric were both dumbfounded. "Captain, I want to exercise the power of the supreme card," Ethan said.

"Please go ahead,"

"I want Eric and Dana out of this party," he ordered.

Eric arched his brows, confused and filled with rage. "There's no freaking way that you can kick me out of this party! Do you know the kind of position I hold here? I'm the senior manager!" He informed.

"That's right. You can't kick us out. I'm about to reach a cooperation with the secret company," she said, but the captain was unmoved.

He turned to the security guard and gave a strict order, "Do not let the two of them into this dinner party.”
