Connecting The Dots

James turned on his laptop but he couldn't concentrate on the task he had on his screen. All his kind kept thinking of Anna and what she might be going through. He doesn't know if he should go ahead to attack the bar attendant guy who must have drugged his woman or if he should just ignore it.

"Damn!" he slammed the desk so hard and yelled out in anger.

"I can't even imagine losing someone like Anna when I know that I'm not on good terms with her mother. What would become of me if she heard that her daughter died while in my care? Do you think she will ever forgive me?" He relaxed his back on his chair and spun around in deep thought.

"No! I have to be there for Anna. I have to go back to the hospital. I want to be sure that all is well with her." He stood up from his chair and started arranging his files back to his briefcase.

Knock! Knock!

A sharp knock was heard on his door as he kept being focused on the files he was arranging.
