James' hands fell to his lap as he heard Lucas say the last sentence to him with so much confidence and aura in his voice.

His demeanour wasn’t doing exact opposite of everything he has predicted internally. He was on a crossed path of reacting harshly or just maintaining so much composure without taking his words for what it is.

He tried speaking but his words and speech failed him woefully and all he could just do at that point was to keep a weary face.

“Did I take the question of your mind, James? I know you are hell-bent about knowing everything going on in my life but seeing you mad about me not wanting to tell you all that transpired right in here when you weren’t around just makes everything sick and crazy.” He dropped his spoon for the umpteenth time even though he was caught up picking it up all over again.

James opened his mouth again, trying to say a word before it became a sentence, but his mouth was immobile between every corner.
