Thank you for reading my work of art. It means so much to me.
Back at home, Andrew couldn't even sleep at all as he kept on rolling on the bed trying to think about what his son might be going through since it's been a while since he last heard from him. He stood up from his bed and dialed his son's number all over again while his heart kept on beating so fast as he kept on thinking about his son, Mason, and all that he might be going through as he didn’t follow him to whatever location he might be.After staring at his phone while watching it ring with no response he unlocked the door of his room and rushed downstairs with his phone on his hands while his hands shivered.“Sir Andrew, What’s the problem? Who is chasing you?” Aunty Margret and the two available cleaners cleaning the dining table rushed to his front to question him.Andrew placed his hands on his chest trying to catch up with his breath as he spoke to them, “I’m… I….My…” he kept on panting out loud while trying to speak to them but the more he tried the more he kept on stutterin
“I think it's time for me to go home, James.” Lucas stood up from the chair he had sat on since he came to his friend's office and outstretched his hands for a warm handshake. “What are you trying to say?”James grabbed his chair and pulled it back to sit on it. “It's getting late and as you can see I have a long day to catch tomorrow seeing that I'll be traveling to another city to meet up with Mason's boss.” Lucas cleared his throat and gave him a direct answer. “Mason's boss?” “Yes! I thought I just shared it with you right here when you and your lovely beautiful girl were discussing.” He tried reminding him with his words. Mason cleared his sticky throat and sipped his cup of water at one gulp before having a proper conversation with Lucas, “I thought you were only joking about it seeing that you love exaggerating a lot.” “Exaggerating? Did I hear you say exaggerating?” He took a deep pause and licked his dried lips gently before pushing further to complete his words. “
“How many minutes left before we get to the airport?” Lucas's voice was heard in the car while questioning the chauffeur as his focus was on his phone screen while scrolling endlessly through his feed. “Just thirty to forty-five minutes sir and we will be at the airport.” the chauffeur responded to him while looking at him through the center mirror. “Is there no other way you can speed this up instead of arriving at the airport within your time range?” He slammed his phone on his lap giving his undivided attention to the chauffeur in a very loud voice. “I'm sorry sir but I don't think there is another means by which we can get there within ten to fifteen minutes.” he respectfully addressed him politely without sounding harsh toward him. “Fuck! I need to get to the airport as soon as possible. My flight is around the corner and I must not miss the flight today if not it won't end well at all.”“Like I earlier stated Sir there is no amount of speed I use in this car that will get us
“Make sure you watch over my house and don't allow anyone to enter my house without my consent.” He hopped down from the car while still passing across his message to the chauffeur. “I'll do just that, Sir. If at all your attention and presence is needed in your home I'll give you a call before you know it.” “Thank you very much even though I kind of like feel mad and angry at you.” He bent his hips down to tie his shoelace and ensured he wasn't forgetting any important document. “Sir, I don't want you to miss your flight you have less than a minute to board the plane so If I were you I wouldn't stand here and still be having a conversation with you.” The chauffeur turned on the car engine and started warming it up. “I'm done and for our ongoing discussion Mr. Chauffeur we'll postpone it till I return. Bye for now!” He bade him his last farewell and went ahead to stand in the queue. “Bye, Mr Lucas. Do well to have a safe flight while we expect your return.” The chauffeur whispe
Mason angrily stood up from his chair and glared up at his father “Dad! That's the only problem I have with you. You tend to believe people who claim to love you more than me, and I find it very difficult to understand that part of you.”“That's because there is no evidence of what you've just said.” Andrew chuckled with a slow response. “No evidence?” Mason repeated the words his father said to him softly. “Yes! You heard me son there is no evidence to all that you've just said so how do I want to believe you.*Mason leaned closer to where his father sat poking his nose gently to him, “Father, are you indirectly calling me a liar?”“Liar? You've never presented yourself as one so there is zero tendency that I will address you as such.”“But, I just told you what people have witnessed him do and here you are claiming what you are not. Whether you like it or not, Micheal is not who he says he is. He has done more harm than good and you need to see that.”“You are not convincing enoug
“Finally! You are back after I've missed your kind warmth for so long, James. What kept you for so long?” Anna rushed to his side as soon as she heard the sound of his car engine coming to a halt at the car park. “Huh? Kept me so long?” he paused for a while trying to process her question in his mind. He finds it quite strange seeing that Anna came outside to welcome him and not welcome him inside the sitting room just as she always does. “Yes! You spent a lot of time at the office. Or, did I ask the wrong question?” She rolled her eyes trying to pinpoint where she had failed as a dutiful wife. “I didn't spend too much at the office today, Anna. And, I don't get why you are always grumpy at me.” He returned the hug to her while struggling to pick up his briefcase from the back of his car. “You don't have to struggle with that at all. Let me help you with it after all I've been the one staying at home these while so it won't remove anything from my body if I help you get it.” Anna h
Anna's mother raised her eyebrow to signal that all was going well with her but Anna returned her eye contact with a fake smile acting as if everything was going well with her. “What exactly happened? Why isn't James down here to celebrate with us?” Her mother rushed to where she stood with her hands on her shoulder. “Mum, both happened at all. Were you expecting something bad to have happened on his special day?” She poked her nose closer to her to be sure she heard the right thing. Anna's mother blinked her eyes while keeping a sharp gaze as James climbed the stairs to head to his private lounge. “Not at all, my darling. I was just shocked and wasn't expecting him to go to his private lounge when every one of us is seated here waiting for him to come party with us.”Anna cleared her throat, “But, you have me hear mum. So, why are you bothered about everything when you have me here?”“I have you here no doubt about that, Anna, but you aren't the celebrant, so why should I take yo
Andrew glanced through the eyes of his son as he could see the heaviness in his eyes. He didn't know how to present the news he has been harboring for sonling to his son.“Come one, Dad. You have my attention now so you can go ahead and say whatever thing you want to say to me.” Mason voice got intense as he attacked his father.“It’s actually a long story son and I really don't know how you’ll be able to react to it.” Andrew cleared his throat while trying to defend himself.“Dad, what the fuck is it’s a long story. If it’s a long story, then summarize it. I’m tired of you treating me as I don’t belong to you. I’m tired of you treating me as if I’m not your blood.” he paused for a shine and sniffed in the running nose dripping off back into his nostirls.Mason did a roundabout before comporting himself to say a word to his father’ “You know what dad. I can see the answers written clearly on your face that you don’t care about me at all. You hate me and I know it.” he spat out the wor
