THE RESCUE

Lucas was becoming paranoid seeing the outcry of Alex behind the door of the warehouse and from the way he sounded one could easily detect that he was emotionally destabilized and had been going through a tough time for him.

Lucas rushed to James and grabbed his hands tightly even though he was still shaking and couldn’t bring himself to one accord.

“What do you think we can do? The door has been padlocked and I know Mason has the key so what do you think we can do.” His eyes were shaking as he waited patiently and eagerly to hear the response from James.

“Have you tried opening it one more time?” James asked him out of the blue acting as if he didn’t get to hear the words of his poor friend.

Lucas took two steps backward with his eyes assessing James from his head down to his toes, “Are you sure you are here with me, James?” He took a deep pause holding himself from overreacting so he wouldn’t end up saying stuff that he was not supposed to say to him.
