“What?” Jason was the first to speak up. He knew it from the start. His eyes shone with hidden frustration when he heard the words that came from Mason’s mouth.

“It’s not what you think,” Mason spoke with a small voice. After he had spoken, he had no power left in him to put up a fight. It seemed like everything had just vanished.

“Let him finish, Jason,” Precious spoke up. Her voice was almost non-existent. What she had wished for had not come to pass and she couldn’t lie but the trust she had for Mason had dropped drastically There had to be a reason of course, and she wanted him to tell him that reason, or the story was not done.

“But what else would he say? That it was for our own good?” Jason said with a mocking tone.

“Just calm down, we told him to confide in us so we have to listen to everything he has to say.” Precious tried to smile, but it only came out stiff.
