Thank you all for the love of reading my book it means so much to me.
“Now, you are raising your voice at me over nothing. What exactly did I do to deserve this kind of action from you, Michael?” Louisa poured out her frustration on him. “You did everything wrong for me to be shouting at you like this you'll know that you did something wrong. I'm tired of how you don't talk to your colleagues with regards.” Louisa burst into a deep laugh, “Respect? To who? Is it to all these riff raffs I'm seeing under the same roof with me?” she corrected him as soon as possible. “Yes! They might be riff raffs to you but they are my employees and they are meant to be treated with regard.” Louisa didn't even wait for him to talk before she flared up at him, “To hell with all of them! I don't fucking care about who they are to you or what they are being known for. As far as I'm concerned I see them as irrelevant peeps and that's how they will continue to be towards me.” “Enough Louisa!” Micheal couldn't hold back his anger anymore as he banged his hands on the desk
At exactly 6:30 am, James stood up from the bed and started making a quick arrangement for work. He grabbed his toothbrush and hurried straight back into the bathroom to brush his teeth and bathe at once. “Babe, is anything the problem? You seem worried and in haste. What could be the problem?” Anna yawned so loud with her hands widely stretched. “There is nothing wrong at all. I have to be at the office before 8 am today. Can you please pass me the towel?” He pleaded with her stretching his hands and requesting for the towel. Anna was still not buying the idea of him saying that he had to be at the office before 8 am. So, she pressed further, “How about you go ahead and tell me what you want for breakfast so that I can go prepare it for you since you are in a haste besides you didn't tell me that you'll be leaving for work early in the morning before we went to bed last night. So, what's up with you this time around?” She pushed the bathroom door a little bit and handed the tow
James laughed a little bit, “You aren't lying at all. I'll catch you up later today.” He pecked her on her cheeks one more time and headed straight up to his car park where he hopped into his car and drove off. Everywhere in the city was looking so clean and tidy as James drove on the street. There weren't many cars on the road despite the day being Monday. While he was still admiring the freeness of the road his phone rang. He parked his car on the other side of the road before reaching out to his phone to pick up the call. “Hey! Will you be at the office today?” the speaker on the phone asked James. “Lucas, don't tell me you didn't sleep at all. Why can't you give me a breathing space for once?” “Why should I give you a breathing space when we all know that we have something going on? There is no room for any breathing space until we've achieved what we want to achieve.” “Hey! Mr. Lucas, the point of correction there is no we at all. I'll plead with you to make use of the
“Fuck! I can't sit back here and watch bad things happening to my father. Not this to me around when I've spent a lot to make him come back to life. Never!” Mason stumped his feet on the ground in full force. “Sir Mason, if you don't mind your food is on the table.” Aunty Margret majestically walked to his face where he stood pointing her hands towards the arranged tray on the table. “For now, I'm not feeling hungry. Thank you for the amazing meal but I will pass for now.” He ignored the meal and headed back upstairs. Aunty Margret did not feel comfortable with his approach so she pressed further, “Won't you at least take a spoon or two?” She stood at the stairs watching him climb at full speed. Mason stopped walking and turned his back to give her a response, “Like, I earlier said I don't want to eat anything and I don't want you to question my decision for now. Take my words seriously for once, Aunty Margret.” He continued his steps on the stairs. Aunty Margret couldn't utter a
Mason turned off the car engine after warming it to think about what Precious said to him. “Could there be a problem this time around?” He thought aloud his back feeling relaxed. He shook his head off, “I don't think it so a problem at all. She might only be trying to pin me down so that she can have me all but I won't accept that crazy offer from her.” He started his car engine and drove off. Vroom! Vroom! The sound of James's care came to a halt. He arranged his suit and brushed his hair off before hopping down from the car alongside his briefcase. He walked to the entrance of his company door and pushed it open. “Good Morning sir!” The voice of his secretary Rachael welcomed him. “Morning to you, Rachael. How was your weekend and how are you doing today?” He asked her still walking with a focused face to get to his office. Rachael walked alongside with him providing him with her answer, “My weekend went well and my day is going according to the way I planned it out, Sir Jam
Back at James's company two black Gwargon drove in full force and came to park at James's car park. Three well dressed men clothed in black suit was seen coming down from the car. They all walked simultaneously together to the entrance of James's company. Rachael spotted the three men and quickly rushed to their side with a bright smile dawning on her face. “Good Morning gentlemen. You are welcome to our company. What would you want us to do for you?” Rachael made them to feel at home with her welcoming voice. “Uhmm… nothing much I'd like to have a word with the owner of this company. I'm sure you received my mail earlier on, right?” He responded to her with a straight face. Rachael who was still focused on how the men dressed and how the two men at the back of the man talking to her were both putting on a shade. “Madam can you hear me at all?” Andrew moved his hands on Racheal's Facebook to bring her back together in her right senses. “Of course, I can hear you very well.” She
“Apparently No! I just felt like their presence might not be needed at the office.” She responded back to him respectfully. “Young lady, that shouldn't be your concern at all. Once we get there we’ll know if they are meant to enter your boss's office or not. For now, the focus is on how we are going to get to the office.” “That shouldn’t be a problem at all because as I’m speaking to you now we are almost at his office” She gave a straight face while responding to him. “That’s very good and I’ll love it if we get there right on time.” He added to his words while turning his face to the elevator mirror. Rachael couldn't say a word at all so she nodded her head as a form of confirmation. After so much silence in the elevator, the sound of the elevator was heard and the door was flung open for them to make their way out. “Where is the next place to go?” Andrew asked Rachael waiting for her to give them the lead. “I’ll take you to the place, sir. We are almost there and before y
Andrew and his guards made their way to the elevator and as soon as the elevator got to the last floor and was opened, they saw Lucas standing right in front of them. Lucas was surprised to see the men coming outside from the elevator so he didn't bother saying a word to them. He only watched them as they got out of the elevator with so much surprise on his face. One of the bodyguards while coming out of the elevator jacked him on his shoulder unintentionally. Lucas was about to react to the bodyguard by pulling him backward but was held back by the hands of Rachael. Rachael and Lucas walked back into the elevator holding each other hands side by side, “Who exactly are these people that just came out of the elevator?” Lucas demanded from her with a straight face. “I can't say I know who they are but let's just say our new client.” She responded to him with a calm face“New client? Is James aware of these people? Their faces aren't looking like clients but rather like detectives.”
