Chapter 3: Prideful Emperor Dao

The driver was left confused. Although what Old Ye said was true, there is no shortage of scammers in the city who use people's predicaments to swindle, and Old Ye doesn't look reliable in the slightest. A handsome man dressed like a village beggar—who in his right senses would believe what such a person would say?

Old Ye saw that the taxi driver was doubtful of his words, so he became even more impatient and said, "Kid, you should be happy that this Lord says more than two words to you; ordinarily, you are not worthy to even see this Lord. I am in a good mood today; I will tolerate your insolence; swallow this pill; it will take effect immediately; you can also follow us into the hospital and take a fertility test if you think I am lying."

What Old Ye said was true: his identity as Dao Emperor in the immortal world means that he is an existence that stood at the top of the world and Is beyond the restriction of the path of heaven. A stone could become a historical figure by just encountering him.

"I will swallow the pill and come with you to the hospital," the taxi driver responded. Although he still doubted Old Ye, he was hopeful the pill could remedy his predicament.

After taking the black pill from Old Ye, the taxi driver swallowed it without hesitation.

"Let's go in," Old Ye said and got out of the car. The three of them walked into the hospital through the gate.

Old Ye was astonished by the information about the hospital from the memories of the original body owner.

There are lots of alchemists in the cultivation world, and there are even alchemist associations all over the immortal world, but the concept of the hospital where patients were taken in and treated systematically wasn't part of it; those who are allowed entrance into the alchemist guild are only alchemists.

Arriving inside the hospital, John didn't wait for Old Ye to ask; with the way Old Ye was looking at everything curiously, it would take the entire day for him to remember to do so.

"Hello nurse, we are the Ye family; we are here to see my sister." John walked up to the pretty nurse at the patient information desk and introduced himself.

The pretty nurse's smiling face suddenly disappeared, and John had a bad premonition. The nurse looked at him condescendingly before reprimanding him, "You are from the Ye? Hope you people have the hospital bill this time; you people are yet to pay for the last time your sister was admitted here; you owe the hospital and still have the guts to send your sister back here to be treated for free; I have never seen such a despicable family like yours before."

As expected, the Anderson family dumped his sister in the hospital again. John wasn't offended by what the nurse said; they still owed the hospital. If not for the owner of the hospital had taken pity on them the last time, his older sister wouldn't have been discharged from the hospital at all.

Although John was embarrassed and lowered his head in shame, it doesn't mean that Old Ye would not feel offended after his family was scolded by an ant in white.

"Little brat, who gave you the audacity to scold my grandson? Are you tired of living?" Old Ye bellowed in rage; if it were in the immortal world, the nurse would have died three times over.

His voice attracted attention, everyone turned to Old Ye, and their faces were filled with admiration for his good looks. Even some of the nurses, especially the one sitting at the patient information desk, were mesmerised by his good looks.

Old Ye frowned; he didn't expect his good looks to attract such attention, and the way he was looked at by the ladies felt like he had been stripped naked. He was dumbstruck by the culture shock. In the immortal world, female cultivators were daring, but only in battles. Only those female cultivators who cultivated unorthodox cultivation methods were daring to covet men audaciously.

While Old Ye was pondering over such a comparison, the looks on the faces of people admiring began to fill with disgust. Although handsome men were adored by all, who would want a madman even if his looks were exceptional?

The nurse at the patient information desk was infuriated by Old Ye's words; she rose and shouted in anger, "Take your sister and get out of the hospital."

She has tossed all her decency away.

Old Ye wasn't one to back down with words; he snorted with disdain, "It is your great fortune to be able to treat this Lord's granddaughter, you are just a woman of shallow intelligence and little means who doesn't even deserve to be her maid."

Old Ye's words left everyone around the patient information desk speechless, especially the nurses attending to visitors. They didn't expect Old Ye to say such a word, so they began to ponder the possibility of Old Ye being a psycho who escaped from a psychiatric hospital.

Old Ye didn't stand around to ask questions anymore; he left immediately after he scolded the nurse.

Is there anything that could be hidden from Emperor Dao? It was impossible. It was just a few seconds before he was able to locate his granddaughter's ward.

When he opened the door and saw his granddaughter covered in injuries and her eyes tightly shut, Old Ye's killing intent rose to the heavens.

"Good, good, good, the Anderson family are commendable, laying a hand on this Lord's daughter, ha! I never thought a day like this would come."Old Ye complimented them and even repeated 'good' thrice to show how furious he was.

"big sis!" John shrieked in horror when he saw his older sister in such terrible condition. Although this wasn't the first time the Anderson family had beaten up his sister, it had never been this critical.

Old Ye walked towards the bed and injected a wisp of his pure internal qi into his granddaughter's body. As expected, the injuries all over her body healed up with a speed visible to the naked eye; even John was frightened by the healing process.
