Following Peter’s words, Liam’s lips curled into a mischievous smile. He was counting on Peter to say something like that. After what he imagined they had done to Jack, he needed to show them the same amount of pain. He didn’t hesitate. The moment Peter tilted his head toward the warehouse doors, he surged forward, ready to tear through anyone who stood between him and Jack.

But before he could take more than a few steps, Peter’s men closed in. A dozen figures moved swiftly, encircling him, with different weapons, from metal pipes to knives and steel knuckles, their expressions ranging from amused to deadly serious.
