‘The transaction is successful.’ Those words stunned the entire hall. How was this possible?

How could someone like him easily pay off $20 million?

Yona’s eyes remained glued to Liam, staring at him in disbelief as if she was dreaming.

The crowd remained quiet, frozen in disbelief.

Meanwhile, Victor was fuming in anger. He could not believe that once again Liam had bested him.

Quickly, he retrieved his stormed towards them, and grabbed the auctioneer, “Double check the payment. This man is a con artist. I’m sure that transaction is not even real. He’s fooling all of you.”

Liam did not react. He knew Victor was just trying to cause another scene, but this time he was not going to partake.

He had saved the Stevens from humiliation and that’s all that mattered.

However, seeing the doubtful reaction from the crowd, the auctioneer could not help but wonder if Victor was actually up to something. Had this man fooled him?

He turned toward Liam and kindly asked, “Sir, please you’re going to h

Don’t be so cocky Mr Moran, there are some very dangerous men in this city, and for someone new in town, it might be very dangerous for them, if they don’t thread carefully.”Liam’s eyes narrowed as he took a step forward, staring directly at Peter’s face, “Is that a threat?” He asked.Peter’s bodyguards slowly reached into their coats, sensing Liam as a threat, but Peter quickly waved his hand, stopping them before the situation escalated, “No, it isn’t. You’ll know when it’s a threat.” He paused, staring down at Liam.“Consider this a friendly warning, from someone who doesn’t want to see you get mixed up in situations you just might not be able to get out of.” He said and with that, turned to walk away, but then

The next morning, Mia rushed down to Liam’s room and after a brief contemplation, she knocked and waited.“Who is it?” Liam asked groggily.“It’s Mia,” she answered, and after a short while, the door clicked, opening slightly.Mia gulped heavily as she saw Liam’s bare body. Her inner thighs heated up, as a warm sensation traveled through her body, leaving her dumbfounded.Liam felt her gaze steady on him and slowly turned towards her, “Is anything wrong?” He asked calmly.Mia snapped out of her trance, shaking her head, trying to dismiss the thoughts that formed and strode inside.“I’m sorry about last night,” she apologized, immediately catching Liam’s attention. He stopped knotting his tie and turned to her with a surprised look, “What about it?” He asked, then walked away, and threw a jacket on.Mia gawked at his toned muscles and broad chest, her mind going adrift with sensual thoughts, but again, she shook her head,“I just couldn’t do it. Liam picked up the documents and went through them, carefully reading every term of the agreement, and a small smirk tugged at the corner of his lips. He noticed that this agreement was an attempt to implicate him, and at that time, he could not help but wonder who put Roger up to this.Lifting his gaze, he stared at the man intently for a few seconds, then reached into his bag and pulled out a file.“I hope you don’t mind Mr Trent, but the director had already taken the liberty of printing out and signing a partnership agreement with the Stevens and all that’s left is for you to sign,” Liam said tactically.Roger’s face flushed, like a thief who had been caught red-handed. He stared at Liam directly, then his lips curled into a wry smirk, knowing that he had caught him at his con attempt. Not wanting to make this into something more, Roger picked up the paper and hesitated for a bit, but then signed his name across and handed the document back to Liam.A proud smirk crossed Liam’s

If anyone here should be arrested, it’s this man right here.” Liam said, glaring at Victor.“Is that true, Victor?” Lord David asked coldly.Victor stuttered, “I-I… Don’t tell me you actually believe his lies. He could not fathom how Victor had managed to get his hands on those forged documents, but he had crossed him one last time and now he had to show him who he truly was. If Victor was so obsessed with finding out his secrets and exposing him as a fraud, he was going to return the favor.Immediately the phone rang, Jack’s voice returned sharply on the other end, “Young Master, is everything alright?” He asked.Liam ignited his car and started driving, “No, it isn’t Jack. Evelyn frowned and turned her face away the moment Darius looked at her, pride glowing behind his eyes. Her shoulders were tense, her jaw locked tight. “You crossed a line,” she muttered, barely louder than a breath.Darius blinked in a dismissive way, “She volunteered.”“She’s still a human being,” Evelyn snapped, rounding on him now. “You don’t get to experiment on people and hide behind consent like it’s a shield. You think because she said yes, that makes it clean?”“She chose this,” Darius replied calmly. “She wanted to be useful.”“Useful?” Evelyn’s voice rose. “Is that what we’re calling this now? Weaponizing people, locking them in chambers like test subjects—useful?”Liam stood still, watching the tension crackle between them. He didn’t speak, didn’t breathe. He needed their knowledge, their strength, their will to fight. But he also knew what Peter was capable of. He had seen people broken and remade because of a mad man’s ambitions. If he failed, these people, these survivors, would be the next victims. His fingers flexed uneasily. • A Rebellion Forms

The sky was still dark when Liam, Jack, and Evelyn pulled out of the driveway. It was early in the morning and Evelyn had suggested that they made the trip before Peter’s men could be active. Rain drizzled lightly, a soft mist clinging to the windows as they drove to the rebel group’s hidden location. The silence in the car was thick, only the hum of the engine and the occasional sigh from Jack in the backseat filled the space.Liam drove with one hand on the wheel, the other clenched against his thigh. “You’re sure this is the only way?” He asked, glancing at Evelyn.“Yes,” Evelyn said from the passenger seat, her eyes fixed directly on the road ahead. “If we go to the Tribunal directly, we’ll be walking into a trap. But where we’re going… they’re not part of that world anymore.”Jack leaned forward. “Where exactly are we going?”Evelyn didn’t answer right away. She just reached into her coat pocket and pulled out a worn slip of paper. “Take the next left,” she said quietly.Although

  • The Regroup

The rain hadn’t let up since morning. It was the next day after Peter escaped with the Morath Relic. Liam and Jack had returned to Evelyn’s house. It was a slow morning. The rain beat against the windows of Evelyn’s old house like a warning—steady, relentless, and cold. But inside, the warmth of the crackling fireplace did little to ease the weight pressing on Liam’s shoulders. He sat on the edge of the couch, elbows on his knees, staring into the flames, watching mindlessly as they crackled, lost in thought. Jack leaned against the wall near the window, quietly, his arms crossed, eyes flicking between the storm outside and the silence inside. Evelyn moved around the room quietly, her presence as calming as it was commanding, her white lab coat flaring behind her like a cape.“So,” Jack finally said, breaking the silence, “he has the relic now.”Liam nodded slowly. “And he used it. I felt it—like a ripple tearing through the air.”Evelyn returned to the center of the room, setting dow

  • Peter’s Monsters

Meanwhile after Peter left Moran’s mansion, he was filled with a new air of confidence as he strode into his laboratory, the Morath Relic clutched tightly in his hand, its cold surface pulsing faintly against his palm. The air inside the facility smelled of chemicals, burnt metal, and something else, something old, something forgotten like it was an abandoned lair. He exhaled slowly, allowing himself a moment to savor his victory. Once again, he had clashed with the Ogini, and once again, he had walked away triumphant. But this time was different. This time, he knew he was running out of his sharp edges, and there was another potential problem, Jack. That boy was the variable he hadn’t accounted for, the unexpected force tilting the balance. If it had been just the Ogini, Peter would have already cemented his dominance. But Jack had proven to be more than a nuisance—he was a real threat. The energy inside him, the way he wielded it, the way he had managed to break through the Ogini’

The next, the Ogini lunged.A sharp gasp escaped Jack as a powerful hand clamped around his throat. His feet left the ground, his body hoisted effortlessly into the air. The grip was tight, crushing, cutting off his air. He clawed at Liam’s arm, kicking violently, but it was useless. The Ogini was too strong and it had gotten him right where it wanted.A cold smirk spread across The Ogini’s lips. His eyes digging deep into Jack’s as if trying to capture his very soul.Jack’s vision blurred at the edges, his lungs burning. His body thrashed, instinct screaming at him to fight, but his strength was fading fast. The Ogini tilted its head slightly, eyes glowing with eerie amusement as it studied him like a toy that was about to break.“You’ve been quite the nuisance,” the Ogini murmured, its voice smooth yet sharp, layered with something ancient and cruel.

  • Fight For Control

Peter’s car had disappeared into the night, the taillights vanishing in the darkness, but the air still hummed with the aftershock of their battle—cracked pavement, scattered bodies, and the lingering charge of power that had yet to fade. But Liam wasn’t focused on any of it.His fingers curled tighter around the Zuri blade, its energy still alive in his grasp. His breath was heavy, his body rigid. His chest rose and fell with the remnants of adrenaline. And then, his eyes shifted.Jack barely had a moment to process what was happening before he saw the look in Liam’s eyes. They were cold, unreadable, but filled with something unmistakably foreign. Something that ironically he had recognized. This wasn’t Liam anymore. Not entirely. The faint red glow of the Ogini flickered beneath the surface of his eyes.Jack took a slow step back, every muscle in his body tensing.“Liam?” His voice was measured, but he could hear the uncertainty creeping into it.Liam didn’t respond. • The Escape

Liam’s vision darkened, fading off slowly against the dented hood of the car. Pain pulsed through every inch of him, his ribs aching from the force of the impact. He could barely move, and was barely breathing. The last thing he saw was Jack, on his knees, trembling violently, his body rejecting the energy coursing through him. Peter’s voice echoed in the distance, smug and victorious.“Time’s up, Liam.”And that was when everything changed. A sudden w surge of energy spread through his fingers. It started in his grip, where the Zuri blade was still clutched tightly in his hand, and then it spread—like fire igniting in his veins. The power of the blade roared to life, but Liam knew he wasn’t the one in control anymore. He had lost it to the Ogini. Right now, anything that happened was out of his control.A massive force erupted from Liam’s body, blasting outward like a shockwave.
