As Liam said those words, Lord David could feel a sudden chill run down his body. He froze in place, processing what he had just heard.

“Bioweapon?” He repeated the words in disbelief.

“He’s been building it for some time in a hidden lab somewhere in this city. I got the inside information from one of the key workers in the company, she swore that what he was planning was catastrophic and begged me to do something.” Liam paused letting his words sink in.

“At first I didn’t want to believe it too, just like you. I know Peter is demented but I didn’t think he’d go this far to do something this…” Liam paused, searching for the right words, “Something this…”

“Evil.” Lord David interjected.

Liam shifted his gaze to him and his expression became relaxed. He knew Lord David was starting to see his perspective on things.

“Also, I knew that that woman would not ask to meet me knowing that her life and everything she has would be in danger if Peter found out about her betrayal. Luckily, she c

Liam hesitated for a moment before walking into the room. It had been almost three weeks now since he last visited this room. As the door opened, he could feel the familiar pungent chemical smell filling his nose and a little part of his heart sank. After a deep long pause, Liam heaved a deep breath and walked inside the room. The temperature in the air shifted immediately, becoming more chill the closer he approached Shawn. His footsteps although purposeful were filled with a mix of reluctance and sadness. He suddenly stopped, beside a bed and folded his hands behind his back staring at the unconscious body that was only sustained by machines.Liam heaved a deep sigh, pulled a seat, and sat beside Shawn. This was a practice he always did since when he was a child. After their entire family was killed, hi

As soon as Jack saw him, he quickly approached him, “I heard David stopped by,” he said, his voice laced with curiosity.Although Liam did not want to rehash his conversations with Lord David, he could tell by Jack’s tone that he was just going to find other ways of getting him to eventually reveal their conversation.Liam stopped in front of him and scanned his eyes around looking for Laura. “Yes, he did. It seems the old man finally figured it out, but there’s no reason to worry, he won’t be saying anything to anyone.”“Where’s Laura?” He quickly asked, changing the direction of the conversation. Although Jack was not completely satisfied with the amount of information Liam had given, he knew their meeting with Michael was more important now. “She’ll be here soon, she’s on her way with the team,” Jack answered. Liam nodded and without saying a word, turned toward the driver’s seat but then suddenly stopped and turned to

Mia broke out in loud laughter, “You, you want to help my family?” She repeated, still amused by Victor’s words.“You are right, Victor, I don’t believe you. I don’t think you truly want to help my family and do you know how I know that?” She paused, but before Victor could say anything, she continued, “Because you’ve said those lies before, but let’s look at the truth. You wormed your way into this family through Carl, of course, by then I should have known you were just like him and could not be trusted.”“But as much as the signs were there, I chose to give you the benefit of the doubt and trust you. You claimed you wanted to help this family but the whole time, all that you were doing was trying to get Liam out of your way, and in so doing you brought chaos and ruin to this family. If it wasn’t for Liam, we probably never would have recovered everything we almost lost. And somehow they let you out of that place you were supposed to rot in, and you think that we’ll be naive again t

Meanwhile, as soon as Liam arrived at the Young mansion, he was escorted straight to see Michael. His movements were sharp yet controlled, hiding the rage that was quickly rising within him.“Wait here,” Michael’s butler said to Jack Gunter. Jack scoffed, but then Liam turned his gaze to him, “It’s okay, I can handle this on my own. Just make sure Laura’s ready to move when we need her to.” Liam said. Jack nodded and turned away, leaving Liam standing once again with the butler.“This way sir,” the man said and opened the door. Michael sat behind his desk, searching through a stack of files frantically when Liam walked in, “Mr Moran,” he gasped when he noticed Liam. Without hesitation, he quickly stood up and approached Liam, “I’m so sorry I couldn’t come to welcome you properly. I’ve just been engrossed with these papers.” Michael apologized.“It’s okay, your butler led me in.” Liam said.Michael shifted his gaze to his butler and nodded, signaling the man to give them some privacy

“That’s not really my concern,” Victor replied. “I know Peter’s hands are not clean, but like I said, I’m not really bothered by what he’s up to. As long as I can use him to get what I want, then he can be the worst person on earth and I wouldn’t care.” He said nonchalantly.Mia’s eyes widened in shock as he spoke. She knew that prison changed people, but Victor was unhinged and too far gone. She opened her mouth to speak, but the shock was too profound, her words formed a lump in her throat.“You see, while I was in there, I never thought that I’d get to see anything outside those walls again. My life was pretty much over, but prison gave me some time to think. It helped me to reflect on things that truly mattered. I vowed that when I get out, I’m going to make sure that your entire family pays for ruining my life, but turns out Peter was already ahead of me in that,” he paused and started walking around Mia,“Why couldn’t you just see what I was trying to show you? Behind him, the door creaked open and soft footsteps followed. Mia sat beside him, pulling her coat tighter around her, her face filled with unsaid questions, and for a moment, neither of them said anything. Then she whispered, “Can I ask you something?”Liam didn’t look at her. He only smiled coyly and said. “You already did.”Mia smiled faintly and shifted towards him. “I mean something real.”Sensing the depth in her tone, Liam nodded slowly. “Go ahead.”Mia shifted, resting her hands in her lap. “Why do you always hold back?”He turned to her, finally meeting her eyes, but confused about the question.“I’m not talking about the war, or the missions,” she added quickly. “Not the Tribunal, not Peter, not Darius. I mean… you. The person behind all of it. I know you’ve been trying. You’ve let me in more these past few weeks than

As he arrived at Taeger, the room was quiet, too quiet for something that carried so much weight. Liam sat alone at the long glass table, his back straight, expression unreadable. The walls were white, clinical, but the air was thick with tension. Around him, the Tribunal members took their seats—six in total. At the head of the room stood Senator Vaughn, hands behind his back, wearing that usual smug look like he already knew the outcome.“Since Mr Moran has decided to join us today, the meeting will now begin,” one of the older members announced. “We are here to review the ownership and handling of Peter Harrow’s estate, specifically research rights,

Then again, when Lord Steven called, it wasn’t something you ignored. He was waiting for her in his private study, the one with the heavy oak door and the old books stacked like bricks of history.“Mia,” he said warmly, standing as she entered. “I appreciate you coming.”She gave a polite nod and took the seat across from him. There was a long pause before he spoke again. “You’ve made hard choices lately. And while I don’t say it often enough… I see your loyalty. And I admire it.”Mia didn’t answer right away. The message was clear and direct — Your presence is needed at the Taeger urgently. Liam sat up and glanced around the room. Mia was nowhere close. He stood up and walked down to the meeting room and everyone was there. He hesitated for a moment, wondering if he should tell them the message he had gotten but before he could even make up his mind, Jack noticed the look on his face and asked. “What’s going on Liam? You look disturbed.” Liam darted his eyes across the room and then heaved reluctantly, “I’ve been summoned by The city and the Tribunal. I think I know what this is about.” The room fell silent for a long while and then Jack nodded and stood up, “Then we all go.” He said and without waiting for Liam’s approval, the group marched out. After a short drive, they arrived at Taeger. Liam stood, bloodied and broken, panting heavily after the fight. It seemed Mia had saved him. Her words were just the echo he needed to pull out of the Ogini’s hold. Darius was dead and the Ogini was slowly fading away. Finally everything was over, or at least so he thought. Around them, the walls of the chamber cracked and groaned. The ground trembled beneath their feet as the Ogini’s energy flared out of control.Liam’s eyes widened in shock as he watched Darius rise to his feet across the room. “Impossible!” He muttered to himself.Darius’ body twisted, reshaped by the Ogini into something unrecognizable. A fusion of beast and nightmare. His skin burned like molten stone, his eyes pitch-black voids that leaked dark light. One thing was clear to Liam at this point, whatever that was, it was far from human and had no consciousness of its own. He roared, the sound shaking the very air.“You think love makes you strong?” he bellowed. “It makes you weak!He raised his hands, tearing op

The chamber around him glowed with deep red and black light, dark veins of Ogini energy running across the floor and ceiling. And in the center of it all stood Darius. No longer the man Liam once knew. His form had changed completely, part man, part monster. His skin shimmered like black stone cracked with fire underneath. His eyes burned bright with the mark of the Ogini, and long tendrils of energy moved behind him like shadows with a mind of their own.“Mia…” Liam whispered as he looked past Darius. Suspended in a large, floating crystal of pure black, Mia hung unconscious. Her face was peaceful, but her body was limp, trapped in the
