"You really should get some rest," he insisted, leaving her alone.

As Lana pondered how to approach Harvey, she realized he was purposefully avoiding her, no matter how important her words were. She knew deep down that he might never forgive her for what she was about to reveal, but she couldn't think of a better way to salvage their relationship.

"Harvey, please, just listen to me," she pleaded, relentlessly pursuing him.

"I... I took the job," she blurted out, frustration evident in her voice. Finally, Harvey came to a halt, his attention fully captured as he turned to face her.

"Harvey, I accepted the job from Don Marcus," she said, her tone filled with unwavering certainty. He stared at her, disappointment clouding his gaze.

"Well, good for you then," he responded nonchalantly, and walked away.

Lana and Don Marcus had been in contact, and when he shared the proposal, it resonated deeply with her. She couldn't bring herself to refuse.
