School was finally over for the day, Aires, Elena, Vanessa and Jason decided to walk home together like they usually do so that Jason, or the new him will not get suspicious or go psycho. Elena trying to break the silence as they walked, started a conversation about a holiday she had spent with Aires and Jason together with her father. They had visited the new Chinese Mall on the day of it's opening, and decided to set a record of being the first to taste every food their restaurant had to offer. "Yo Aires let's tease this guy a lil, do you remember when he mistook the fried frog for a chicken.? " They all burst into laughter when Elena brought it up, "I knew they were frogs immediately I remembered chickens couldn't be this smallish even to a pandemic of shrinking" Aires added to the laughter party, Jason just stood there, looking at them in the dumbest way possible, but his three companions pretended it was not weird at all for him not to be laughing at something so funny as that. During breakfast at school the next day, when Aires and company except Jason, had barely tasted what they were given to eat, Aires told them about the dream she had seen and how she was confused whether it was just a dream or a dream telepathy. It felt like Friday was never coming for the friends who were anxious to see their male best friend brought back to fit their description of 'normal state'. During Sportfest every year, magazines containing information about the Sportfest are distributed to all parts of Rocksville to remind people who already know about this event, that it is time to come together, to those who are new to Rocksville like Aires and her mother, these magazines are a way of kindling their heart's to engage in this auspicious occasion which brings the entire town together. On that very year when for the first time ever Sportfest was going to be held in New World High, magazines came out a little late, about two days before the Sportfest. Aires got one to share with her mother on the Monday, which was two days before the event commenced, during diner. She took it upon herself to read it out to her, while they waited for the food to cool down, 'Sportfest' the first page read 'comes once every year. Usually duringSportfest, the teaching activity by teachers is placed on hold, this is not in obedience to any set decree from the higher authority, but per observations done each year. Since students refuse to listen to anymumbojumbo from their teachers due to the noisy atmosphere caused by the former, it is deemed wise to postpone all teaching and learning and replace them with training and preparations towards the event. One privilege it comes with that makes it all the more interesting is that, students can come in or go out of the school at any time they prefer between the hours of six thirty in the morning, till ten in the morning. With their eyes shut and Elena trusting her friend not to kill her in a bad landing, in less than five seconds they felt themselves bouncing on a fluffy surface, the whole place was quiet as they uncovered their eyes to behold Aires' room. "That was fast" Elena commented, "Yes, but might be late for what we came for, hurry let's go" Aires said in a flash, jumping out of the bed athletically and racing towards the door knob. As she turned it clockwise with Elena by her side, the door flung open to a surprising battle they could not involve in due to the magical arc wall that separated their side of the house and the battle ground, Aires' living room.The old fairy stood in the center of the dimly-lit room, her wings flickering with an otherworldly light.
