“Hey!” Nathan heard Dory calling out to him.

Cecil stopped and together with Nathan, they turned around to face Dory who was taking fast steps toward them.

What now? Nathan thought as the angry woman continued walking up to him.

“Can I talk to you for a minute?” She requested after reaching Nathan.

She motioned to him with her head to join her at a corner away from Cecil. Nathan did.

“I want you to listen to me very carefully.” She began. “The fact that you’ll be heading the surveillance department doesn’t make you the boss of me.”

“Yes ma’am,” Nathan said, wondering why she needed to call him to order.

“You are answerable to me Nathan Smith and I want you to know that you’re more of an intern in that unit.” She said.

That was harsh Nathan thought. After heaving a sigh, he acknowledged her statement with a nod.

“Yes, ma’am.”
