“Aren’t you leaving yet?” asked Dory’s secretary. She was standing by the door and had finished setting up her desk, ready to leave the office.

Dory was going through her phone. “You can go ahead, Maris. I’ll be working overtime today.”

“Okay!” Maris slammed the door and left.

Dory turned to stare at the clock on her wall. It was quarter to 4 pm and she was certain that by 4:30 pm, all the employees would be gone.

She stretched her legs on the table with her back resting on the chair as she continued going through her phone.

Dory kept herself busy by scrolling through insta feeds and cooking shows on YouTube. At exactly 4:30 pm, she dropped the phone and abruptly stood up.

“Time is up!” She mumbled and took deep breaths. She then arranged her desk, grabbed her bag, and left the office.

Dory took the elevator and arrived at the reception. Rose was gone and so were the employees. She noticed that the doors to the offices were shut and no one was at the reception.
