Chapter 204

Nathan wanted to turn off his phone the moment he left the computer room but he realized that the action might heighten Avery’s suspicions. He concluded that he was going to respond to her when he was ready to address the situation.

Nathan was about to head to the library when Charlotte came running toward him. He stopped.

“Hi, Charlotte.”

She pouted her lips, folded her arms across her chest, and pretended to be sad.

Nathan couldn't hold back his laughter.

“Well, I guess you know why I’m pissed, Nathan. You were supposed to meet with me during the weekend so we could discuss the project.” Charlotte lamented.

Nathan sighed. “I’m sorry. I got caught up in something.”

“Well, the least you could have done was send me a text. I had hopes that you’ll turn up but it’s okay if you got busy. I would have understood you know.” She maintained.

“That’s my bad and I’m sorry,” Nathan said.

She flipped her hair with a smile. “That’s okay.”

“How about I make it up to you?” Nathan spat.

She giggled.
