Chapter 213

Avery let out a mild groan and slowly opened her eyes. She shut her eyes against each other and open them immediately after her brain picked up a burning sensation. Her vision was blurred but after she rubbed her drowsy eyes with the edge of her palms, she could see her environment.

She quickly sat up, her heart racing. She was confined in a bedroom with the best state of comfort. She was covered with a sheet. Avery began to panic.

Where was she? She wondered and began to roll her heavy eyes around the room. When she turned left, she caught a glimpse of a portrait and when she arched a brow, she saw a familiar face.

“Kelvin!” she muttered under her breath and quickly rolled down the sheet to her feet.

It then dawned on her that she had encountered him at the bar and the last thing she remembered was falling into a deep snooze.
