Immediately after Nathan and his escorts left the hall, Derrick who was already back to his table picked up his phone. He placed a call and lowered the pitch of his voice.

“The target is in motion!” he said and hung up.

He then smirked and darted his gaze back to the stage where the mayor was cutting his birthday cake.

Nathan made his way out of the hall. By the time he got to the parking lot, Larry was already occupying the driver’s seat of one of the range rovers. Nathan got into the back seat. Two bodyguards joined him on his sides.

Jackson and the other guards were occupying the other range rover and the escort vehicle. Due to the respect they all have for Nathan, no one occupied the G-wagon except the driver in front who was wheeling it away from the parking space.
