A deafening silence swept through the mall as everyone waited for the manager’s next line of action.

Kelvin was standing beside the counter with his arms folded across his chest.

Ferguson cleared his throat loudly and snapped, calling the attention of any staff who must have heard the signal. Two sales representatives rushed toward him.

He turned to Nathan. “Come with me, Mr. Smith. We need to pack up your watch.”

Kelvin had a dropped jaw. Was he daydreaming or was the manager playing games with them?

Murmurs broke out among the students.

“Oh my God, the manager is going to hand over the watch to Nathan?” a girl with blonde hair said.

“How’s this possible?”

“Did the card eventually work?”

“How did Nathan even get his hands on that card?” a fourth voice commented.

Kelvin couldn’t take the torturous comments anymore.

Henry and Charles had vague expressions.

Nathan began taking steps after the manager who was leading him to the watch compartment.
