Chapter 70

“So you’re saying that you won’t drive yourself home? Then how are you going to get home?” Nathan demanded with his arms folded across his chest.

Avery sighed and gave her forehead a delicate scrape. “The thing is, I sneaked out of the house to come here. My parents still think I’m in my room.”

Nathan hummed. “I see!”

“So there was no way I could come here with my car. I took a cab and I’ll be hailing one to take me home once I get to the junction.” She replied.

“You don’t have to worry about taking a cab,” Nathan said.

Avery raised a brow.

“I can drive you home.” He told her.

Her eyes widened in surprise.

Nathan gave a warm smile. “It’s late Avery and quite unsafe for you to trek to the junction by yourself. I can give you a ride.” He said.

Avery was rendered speechless.

Nathan pointed to the parking space. “Come with me. I’ll take you home. There’s a car down there.”

Without uttering any word, Avery began taking steps after Nathan. They got to the parking space.
