THE SAVING GRACE

DAMIEN'S POV

Peter told Damien to give him five minutes to send the bulk mails, even if Damien had agreed,that five minutes felt like forever to Damien. Damien decided to stay outside and wait for Peter to call and confirm that he has sent the mails.

While Damien was waiting, he remembered that Stella had called initially when he was on call with Peter. He brought out his phone from his pants to call her, but as he tried to dial her number, his phone rang. It was Stella calling again.

“Think of the devil,” he muttered.

As he picked up the call, Stella was saying something but he could not hear her, all he could hear was the noise from the crowd. He wondered if someone was entertaining them from the podium. He would have gone closer to the hall and opened the door to confirm what was going on but he knew if the crowd saw him, they would remember the annoyance they had for him and that would cause distraction from whoever was entertaining them.
