Chapter 38

The next day, Jake sat in his new office which was the same office of the senior McPherson who once occupied the office before his death.

He was lost in thought, his elbow was kept on the table while his hand was folded under his chin. The previous night didn’t go as planned, he thought he could try and stop them but it seemed like he didn’t prepare well, the only thing that he was able to confirm was that the rival he was up against was not small, the person might be far ahead of him when it comes to experience, which might come in handy, the only thing that Jake is on par with his rival is money, but the rest, he seems to be far behind.

The only ally who would have been very useful in this fight has been taken off, which was his grandfather.

He had tried tracing where the message he received had been sent from through his former college mate but it seemed like the person who had typed it was inside that van and had thrown the phone to the floor, letting the van go over it.
