Jake rose to his feet hurriedly, turning to look at Tyler, he forced a smile on his face. “Sorry, but I think that discussion will have to be on hold for now,” he said.

Max noticed from the sudden change in his expression and the way he stood up that something was up, he also rose to his feet and walked towards the door, his hand on the doorknob, waiting for Jake to come closer before he pulled it open.

“I see the call you received is not a good one,” Tyler said with a nod of his head, watching

Max pulls open the door for Jake. The both of them stepped out hurriedly; they found their way out of the house in a few seconds.

Max slipped into the driver’s seat and ignited the engine, “Where to?” he asked with his gaze still kept forward, driving out of the compound.
