Rose Sob

Chapter 4

“Rose, you know that I don't have money for now but I assure you that I'll fix everything right soon.” He said, concentrating on his driving.

“Then dare not ask me a single thing about my family life ever again when you're not capable of helping.” Rose shunned and remained silent.

Michael noticed how angry she looked so he also kept silent and gently drove not wanting to cause any more ire. “Why is my life so miserable like this? I can't even help when they need me the most. Dear God, please help me.” He muttered to himself as he drove.

After driving for half an hour, the car abruptly stopped in front of an open building painted white and red. It was the small company that Rose had inherited from her parents as a result of their trust in her.

Most of the staff were already carrying out some necessary work and they were all on black and white shirts as it was mandatory for all of them.

Most of them who noticed their presence didn't fail to murmur as they saw Michael. They never believed Rose could settled with such a loser like him.

Not long the back door of the car swung open and Rose came down, walking to go inside. She was wearing a black blouse and white dress, also her black hair was well styled which made her look more gorgeous. As she was on the verge of entering the compound, Michael shouted at her.

“Rose, you always look beautiful. But you look more beautiful today." He admired them as his eyes lingered on her. “And make sure you get yourself something to eat.”

Rose turned around, her face stern and she didn't utter a word. Rather, she turned around again and strode inside.

Michael didn't stop looking at her, admiring her beauty. Although he knew she didn't have any feelings for him because of his poor status, Michael, however, still had an unwavering love for her.

He looked in her direction until she was out of sight. And when he could no longer see her, he drove me.

Meanwhile, inside the office as Rose entered, the warm air and scented room welcomed her. Even though she wasn't rich and the company wasn't a billionaire company, she had at least managed to maintain a high standard of living.

And she was happy that her staff were following her order. Walking further into the office, she dropped her bag on the table and took a seat on her modern armchair, her bright skin radiating under the limelight at her office.

Not up to two minutes after she sat, a knock suddenly came on the door.

“Who's that? Please come in.”

The door swung open and a lady who seemed to be in her early thirties entered. She was one of the staffs and her name was Sophia.

“Good morning, ma.” She greeted her as soon as she walked in.

“Morning, Sophia. What is it?”

“Ma, you have a letter,” Sophia replied with a slight bow.

“From who and what does it say?” She asked, her voice curious because she wasn't expecting any letter from anyone.

“I don't know, ma. I'd think you should see for yourself.” Sophia said, stepping forward with it.

“Give it to me then,” Rose said, stretching out her hand and receiving the letter from her hand. Sophia left the office as soon as she took it.

Out of curiosity, she quickly opened it and a sad expression suddenly formed on her face as she went through the contents.

It was a letter from the Yonggi Cho family and it was a reminder and warning that if they failed to pay back the loans they owed before two days, they were going to use legal means to take over their properties as collateral.

Rose's expression remained sad as she finished going through it. She bowed her head on the table with a sob. “God, why me? Why am I being punished this way? I have no one to support me, my parents aren't rich.”

“ Where am I going to get this huge amount of money from? To think of it, I'm even married to a worthless man who depends on my earnings instead of providing. Why me God?” She cried and soon her tears escalated.
