The Prophecy

THE PROPHECY

.

It was nighttime and the moon was almost out in itsfull form. Abel sat on his bed with a silver chain tied to his arm. He insisted he was tied down should in case he goes hyper. He slowly dozed with his headphones clamped to his head. He closed his eyes shut then suddenly opened them. He gasped in shock, realizing that he was in a dessert. Surprisingly, the sun was up and it rained hot rays on his skin, making him shriek in pain.

"What. How did I get here?" He thought aloud, hoping to get a response.

When he got home, he began to walk up frontt, unsure of his destination. He walked for two hours without finding anything but plain, hot desert sand. His throat began to ache as he moved on, hoping he'll find a tree or better still, an Oasis. Words could not express the immense discomfort he felt as he wandered.

Out of nowhere, a drop of water hit his head, he looked up and was grateful for what he saw...Rain. He opened his mouth with his tongue stretched out, facing upwards. It suddenly began to rain and his mouth got filled with the cool, refreshing water from the rain. About to gulp the contents down, he frowned upon the realization that he was hallucinating.

"Motherfucker" he cursed, spitting the sound out. He crouched, reflecting on his life and whatever offense he had to deserve a cruel fate.

Suddenly, the sand hardened up and the ground began to quake. A huge wall of dust rose, sending a warning of impending danger to him. He rose and squinted his eyes to see who or what was coming.

Due to his enhanced eyesight, he saw what was coming..It wasn't a mirage or imagination but it was a fact...Huge centipedes, about 20ft tall were headed in his direction. Without giving a second thought, he ran off, hoping to escape his certain doom but it was all in waste as the Centipede seemed to increase its speed to reaching him.

With a sudden burst of energy he ran, he ran faster than he had ever even as a Lycanthrope yet the Centipede was gaining on him. A claw suddenly hit his back, making him stumble and tumble. He kept rolling in the sand for a minute. Eventually,, he stopped, getting up, he realized it wasn't one but four Centipedes.

"Now great, I'm dying." He said, throwing his arms I'm the air. He tried morphing into a Lycanthrope but he couldn't.

"Now, I'm double dead." He groaned, realizing his little chance of survival had just failed him.

"So, hi guys." He waved. The centipedes rose at the same time, revealing the sharp set of claws and stings underneath them. They all landed, causing an explosion of dust which threw Abel far behind. Before he could respawn, a Centipede hit him with a claw, making him crash eastwards. He got up, surveying his surrounding.

"What?" He thought aloud. This time around, he was standing before a dark temple.

Fear engulfed him as he swallowed a lump of spit. Reality dawned on him...He was still hunted by the Centipedes. He gawked as the Centipedes hissed, slimy venom rushing in his direction.

He hid behind a wall, heaving a huge sigh of relief as the wall let out a hissing sound. He looked at the wall and realized it was decaying...If it had him him, he'd become nothing but an atom.

He ran to the Temple's gate, banging it loudly but nothing happened, he was almost on the verge of dying when the Centipedes inched closer. He knelt and closed his eyes, expecting death... Seconds passed but nothing happened.

He slowly opened them and now saw he was in the temple which was lit with different torches. On a gold alter, Hieroglyphics were inscribed. Smoke rising from the surface indicated the immense heat radiating around the altar.

"Wow, This's just...Crazy," he exclaimed in a much-dejected tone.

He wanted to leave but something tugged his mind, his inquisitiveness urging him to check the altar out. As he stepped on the first staircase leading to the altar, a voice emanated, freezing him.

"Halt" was what he heard.

"Who's there?" He asked, darting his eyes sideways.

"Abel Park...The Multi breed. It's nice to have you here." The voice echoed.

"Hi, can you please let me go? I promise, I won't cause any trouble." Abel begged, taking another step forward.

"Who told you you're in trouble?" The voice asked.

"Isn't it obvious? Three giant Centipedes chased and I'm now in a strange temple with a loud, Mysterious voice communicating with me." He replied, clenching his fist.

"There's no need to clench your fist, you're not in danger"

"Then, what's happening?" Abel asked, unclenching his fist.

"You're Still oblivious, anyways, it's my duty to inform of you the prophecy surrounding you." Abel now showed a confused expression

"Prophecy?" He asked.

"Yes, and the prophecy goes thus...

On the darkest of nights,

When the brave fall in fright.

The Chaos wolves shall rise

And rebel against the world.

The Multibreed shall rise

and the seer shall die

A new seer would rise alongside Okunknun...The doom of the universe.

And the Dragon soul's host shall rewrite the universe.

Irreversible is the prophecy, lest the Multi breedd breaks its life cycle." As the Prophecy was stated, Abel fell on the floor, banging the floor.

"So, the world is in danger because I've become the Multi breed?" He asked, raising his head"Yes but it's still reversible."

"Reversible?"

"Yes, it can. Reread the prophecy." Abel obliged, digesting the contents of the prophecy which was magically inscribed on a wall

"Irreversible is the prophecy, lest the Multi breed breaks its life cycle...Oh, I get it." He exclaimed.

"Now you see. Ensure your guardian teaches you what you need to prevent the doom threatening to end us all."

"Yeah sure, I will." He replied, now feeling confident.

"Now, you leave...Be prepared for tribulations." With that said, Abel, who was now near the altar, fell on its surface.

The surging heat ironically cooled him off to sleep.

Abel slowly opened his eyes first seeing nothing but a blur. Gradually, his vision became clearer as he now saw his mom, Darak, and the Dyche family staring at him.

"Oh Abel, you're awake," Evelyn said, hugging him.

"Mom.I'm okay. for how long was I out?"

"Two days, you're so pathetic." Sean scoffed.

"Two days?" Abel half yelled.

"See boy, the things you're okay... That's what matters" Evelyn replied with an assuring smile.

"Thanks, Mom,," he said, sitting up.

"So, are you going to break it to him or what?" Darak said.

"I would...You see Abel. You're going to be initiated into the Red moon park in a day." Evelyn said, sadly.

"What's the red moon? And why tomorrow?" He asked.

"Okay, it seems you're naive. The red moon pack is the only Wolf pack in Bartlesville. And you're to be initiated tomorrow because it's going to be a full moon." Alpha Alfred explained

"Oh, okay," Abel said in realization.

Sheriff Cole sat in his office, operating on his laptop. He kept tapping the keyboard furiously, trying to figure something out. A sudden gush of wind blew past his face. He turned in its direction and saw who he least expected.

"Oh, Maddie...You're back." He scoffed.

"Aren't you pleased to see me, honey?" Maddie said, walking towards him seductively.

"Bitch, get out of my office." He yelled.

"Are you chasing me? Don't you miss this?" She asked, slowly climbing the Sheriff's desk and pushing her chest towards his face.

"Your boobies stink." He snarled.

"Wow, you're complaining?" She asked sarcastically.

"Yes, get out or I'll..."

"You'll what? Kill me? You're just a beta but I'm back " she said and her eyes suddenly took a shade of yellow. A slight gasp escaped his lips. Her auras coupled with her eyes indicated one thing...She was a Dragon.

"You got your powers back?" He asked rhetorically

"And you expect me to answer the obvious?" She asked, sarcasm etching her voice.

"But...It was sealed by The Dark Multibreed."

"Well, I was just waiting for the right time, by the sweetheart." She said, giving him a rough kiss. Before he could say a thing, she was gone.

To be continued...

So, it seems Maddie's a dragon, who's the other Dragon?
