The Tamers and the Diasons had settled down and were resting on the makeshift beds made on the ground by the Blurring Reds.

Arthen and Ligz had practiced numerous formations to get a good grasp that they might use in future fights.

The Diasons were also informed about the purpose of all formations and when they might need to use them.

The more the Diasons heard, the more their image of the Tamers changed. Finally, Liathel and Elaine began to ask them about like in Monsters Edge, and Flay, in turn, asked about the Diasons of their life as nobles.

The more the Tamers heard about life as nobles, the more they were shocked.

“So outside, we face the monsters that could threaten to kill us. But for those in the Kingdom they suffer from plots within…” Arthen was amazed at what they heard. They couldn’t believe how chaotic, scheming, and dangerous it was to aim to be a noble in the Kingdom.

“A Tamer won’t survive a day in the Kingdom.” Flay chuckled.

“Yeah. It’s quite scary…” Ligz sighed.

Consecutive blasts of the fire magic attack struck the Troll-ogre on the face as it slept, and finally, Flay tossed one small bomb down just as Arthen and the team arrived.BOOM!The stone tumbled down as the troll-ogre’s angry and pained roar could be heard. It punched its way out and pushed the rock away as it emerged out of its hole.It wielded a terrifying club that it flailed around.“That’s a mighty strong club you got there.” Flay chuckled. Flay retreated and kept on taunting the beast with his torch. The Ogre saw the fire of the torch and roared to attack Flay.“Attack it!” Flay ordered immediately.Ligz made Scythe rush in and swipe its tail. It had hidden in the darkness with its skill and emerged and made a sudden attack that surprised the Troll-Ogre.BANG!The massive tail swung on the side of the wounded Troll-Ogre and made it lose its balance.Ruby came charging in and delivered a strong tackle.BANG!The sound of two stones colliding echoed as the troll-ogre was knocked

The team ventured into the deeper parts of the eastern side, and almost instantly, the tamers could tell that the eastern side of this Hell Course was far wider than the western side.“I’m guessing the entrance that monsters use to get inside this place is somewhere to the east.” Arthen concluded.“How did you know?” Melvin asked.“The skeletons of these beasts. There are numerous bones of beasts that are not native to this place. They might have wandered in here through the entrance somewhere here.”“Let’s find that entrance. We could use this entrance for… whatever purposes we have in the future.” Flay chuckled.“Wait. What if we accidentally get to the spider's lair as we explore?”“We’re not amateurs.” Arthen chuckled.“As long as we follow the trail of dead bodies, we’re fine. Of course, it would be bad if the Giant Spider went out hunting. But based on experience, it won’t move out of its den.”“Follow the trail of dead bodies? Isn’t that dangerous? Shouldn’t we follow the trail

She did her best to keep them safe and hid them in a small hole she found to the side. It had been nearly an entire day, and her allies were still not moving. Her leg was broken, and she couldn’t walk. All she vowed to do was guard the path and hope that her allies would recover. She didn’t even have the time to check if they were dead as he was paranoid over the slightest sound. She held her staff out of the hole she jumped in and readied to attack any approaching enemies.Suddenly, she heard footsteps approach her!The steps were not like the komodos, the spiders, or the stomps of the trolls.“Help me! At the barriers and guards near the exit of the Hell Course, numerous archers and mages had worried expressions. Their respective teams have not yet returned, slowly making them uneasy.Several rescue teams have also moved in but had to retreat from the horrifying monster hordes that appeared. The more and more of these beasts appeared, the bigger the fear of these groups.“Any word on the other side?” A mage asked as a scout appeared.“No such signs of your teams. The only ones that managed to reach the other side were the strongest champions. The Hero of the Horde came out with a mercenary group. The Blurring Blades made their exit as well. The other champions have also made their exit with their teams. Several barons and mercenaries slowly followed. But we believe that they merely tailed the champions and were able to travel out of the cave safely.” The scout reported. The expressions of numerous warriors and archers waiting turned ugly.“My lord… Please be safe!” A young archer ho

The Giant Funnel Web Spider was a dangerous beast that was cunning and cautious. When it terrorized the Tamers, which eventually forced the Tamers to alert the Kingdom because it was amassing a massive den that could terrorize both the Tamers and the towns and forts in the Kingdom, there were numerous deaths among the knights and warriors that the Kingdom deployed. But the Kingdom underestimated it. No Adept-level Fighting Professions were deployed, and all were only High Apprentices. The entire nest of the Giant Funnel Web Spider was empty at the bottom, but the ceiling would be covered with webs and allowed the giant Funnel Web Spider to swoop in down and kill its prey.It also used various traps like a massive cocoon of web that would fall and hatch its children. While these baby spiders were weak, they were numerous, and all had poison that could inflict paralysis. There were other traps that the spider had, which killed even more men! And then, there was the appearance of its chi

Flay kept running on the walls thanks to the slimes and finally jumped and turned his weapon to a heavy spear and killed a slime by impaling its head.Below the spiders was a vast amount of slimes that were moving in. But the spiders didn’t attack them as they thought it to be the slimes simply retreating to their homes. The many slimes that Kairo had absorbed were now tailing behind him and were using their powers to aid Flay by causing these spiders to stick to the ground or make slippery paths that prevented the spiders from clinging and climbing the walls as Flay moved in.Flay continued to fight as the tide of slimes moved ahead of him and caused the spiders to stick on the ground, preventing them from moving. The water slimes created paths for Flay that allowed him to slide down as he dove in and sped up towards the nest.Flay slashed and stabbed his way in, killing a few that he needed to kill but focused on chasing the massive spider. With his ability to see in the dark, Flay

Flay’s combat abilities were evolving because of the Slime Army he had with him. Unfortunately, with all their abilities to create sticky and slippery grounds, they either get stuck or would fall from trying to climb the wall.Flay even had his slimes morph into different weapons as he kept charging forward and switched from one weapon to another and making the attacks. Some of the spiders would even be stabbed and hacked with three different weapons! The chain-whip even lashed out and dug deep into the husk of a spider.Kairo was also experimenting on how to use his numerous slimes form and morphed into a slime creature that stabbed out a weapon that had become one of the poor-grade weapons which required no metal essence to form. The attacks were weak, but it seemed possible to the spiders even at that level!High G-ranked spiders could be wounded, and Kairo used his huge slime form to surround the spider and made several stabs all over its battle.Their fighting style became faster

But I never thought it would be that big…!” The survivor that Flay and his team saved was amazed at the gigantic figure of the spider.“Pay up?” Several town officials frowned.“What do you mean pay up? We wanted you to clear the monster hordes inside! That’s what you promised.“Yes. And in a few weeks, maybe after this tournament, the cave will indeed be cleared out.” Flay explained.“That’s preposterous! While we thank you for killing such an incredible threat, it’s still not the contract and agreement we signed!” The official answered. The Blazer family didn’t say anything but continued to observe what they would do.“So you still won’t pay? Flay was even more intrigued. He had just shown the entire Beastmaster tribe his ability, yet they were certain he would die.He had just fought against an Expert, and while others were skeptical of his attempts, it was still a very impressive feat.“I guess I shouldn’t press my luck. Besides, there are more important matters at hand… This place has too many enemies. I have to also regain much of my lost strength and awaken the Eos System.” Flay decided. If this Chimera was something so powerful that everyone was convinced he was still inadequate, he would have to pursue other means to gain strength.“What is this… chimera?” Estelle asked in the midst of the angry accusations of Darwood and Trailtree.“My king… That is the beast that we have sealed long ago. The creature who was once sealed at the death of my great grandfather.” Primeroot finally spoke.“Trovine Primeroot… The greatest Beast Master who achieved the impossible and reached beyond Great Expert…” The King recalled.“Yes.

Narood and the other experts and high-level adjuncts returned with a rather confident look on themselves.“It seems you finally are agreeing.” Flay smiled.“We will agree. That staff is too much of a prize for us. But... Instead of Tenscream, we will offer you another beast instead. An Expert just like Tenscream. But, you have to tame it. You are confident of taming them, aren’t you?” Narood smiled.“Hmmm... Depends. I’m not saying that I can tame any and all monsters. There are several that will take a lot of effort.” Flay recalled the monsters he faced in his world. Particularly, the Carcadon.“I wonder if they tamed him?” Flay thought to himself. The strange expression and distant gaze of Flay irritated the beastmasters.“Then since we are all agreed...” Narood smiled.“Go and start taming them. Of course, we will set a time limit. You have five minutes! Show us! Show us how one can be the pack leader of the wolves!” Narood taunted.Everyone gave a curious look at Flay.“Here’s a l

A mere Rookie demands to take away my Tamed Beast?!""I already took control of it and made it attack you. Why not?" Flay sneered."That...! That was a trick! An evil trick!""So? I have the skill! Has anyone ever controlled your monster apart from yourself?" Flay countered."My monster is linked to my staff! Without the staff, you wouldn't have tamed it!""Did anyone manage to tame your beast using the staff?" Flay asked. There was silence as everyone awkwardly looked at each other.Zegwood was turning blue from holding back his breath and the urge to smack the kid before him."And you were doing a poor job at managing the kennels, I'll tell you that much. After all, the three could have only revealed whatever portion of their power they were comfortable with.Only those who knew of the poison were delighted at how fast the progress was. A few months ago, no changes could be seen. But now, it was becoming increasingly clear."... It's so rare to see all three of you abandon your post. Especially now that the Beast of Dark Savagery lingers outside our walls." Narood answered. His eyes had an arrogance in him, for he knew, soon, he would surpass these three!"The Beast of Dark Savagery has all been slain. Remember their sudden retreat in the last war? The rest of the team followed, except Vem.“You are being summoned back.” Darwood spoke. All of them could not look Flay in the eyes after they were all berated for accepting bribes.Flay shrugged and moved with them, but his slimes continued to wander about. No one took any concern of the slimes and walked back.Behind him was the chaos of the ongoing debate.“Where is he?!” An enraged official demanded.“Bring him back here before that troublemaker starts creating more chaos!”“He is here!” Darwood called out.“What’s going on?” Flay asked Darwood.Darwood looked very angry, annoyed at Flay’s casual behavior, and even wandered out.Da

The expert that healed Tenscream asked."What do you mean by... that?" Ephesus frowned."We know that within the kingdom, assassinations and infiltrations have happened. The Dark Priest enlists Mimics who have entered this city. Have you tested her to see if she is a mimic?""If you think mere mimics can stand before us and fool us, then we would not have been her guard! Is not Vallenhall with us?" Ephesus challenged."Indeed. Chapter 323: Against Two Experts

Because of Flay’s innate ability to gauge a person's Brute and Magic energy, Flay could quickly tell where he could land a powerful damage. He knew that Ephesus would go to his defense. He commanded the Cerberus to make a bite on the other leg. The Brute energy was divided between the legs and the arm. And because of this, Flay weakened that part of the body. Flay’s pitiful strength of 12 points, added with 20 points of Brute energy, half of his defenses of 17 points, and 10 points worth of magic, totaled 59 points worth of punch. This attack would be equal to a mid-level apprentice's. It shouldn’t leave damage to the defenses of any average expert. But in that specific scenario, the guard of Zegwood and the natural vulnerability of that area was enough. Had his stat point been three points lower, this attack would not have worked, and if the Expert was in any way more guarded, then his natural Brute could easily defend against it. POW! Flay's fist dug deep into the groin as it
