The precise stabs of Flay had always landed on the same spot. So once more, the final attack of Flay’s ambush left a small wound on his shoulder.

Flay flew quickly, but this time, Decalan did not release any powerful ice attacks because he knew Flay had already flown out.

“Hmph. Not even a crack…” Flay sighed. Even though the attack managed to penetrate through the ice armor, it was not enough to wound Decalan’s actual body.

But Decalan was scared at what had happened. His armor was so hard, and his powers were constantly recovering it.

“You… monster!” Decalan raged as he retreated.

“So… tell me, Abadon. How did a low-level halfling like you gain control of the army of Tartaros? I thought you’d be some bigshot member… but gauging your strength, you're not even up to my level. I’m not sure killing you will grant me my True Heritage.” Flay taunted.

He was following the advice of Kairo, who was secretly telling him to draw out more information from Decalan.

“Ha! You fool! You can’t trick

The explosion of the iceberg had not only frozen the moisture and created an ice obstacle with great strength and defense, but it also spread out the powerful ice energy.Decalan continued to stab to the ground, and the icebergs and other rocks he was commanding began to explode.BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!Flay stopped in his charge as a wave of cold energy flew past him.The only iceberg that remained was a large block that contained the Calamity Bomb. Decalan’s entire body also began to release a tremendous amount of energy.A cold wave pushed outwards and froze even the ground.Flay could sense the cold energy of the ground and quickly harnessed Glide Wings on his sword.“Wow. That’s some energy. This is too much. Even for an Abadon like you!” Flay chuckled.“I won’t have the energy to fight after this! So my attack on the human fortresses may fail. But I must kill you, Majekon!” Decalan vowed. He was leading Flay to move closer to him so he could create the spell that would cover the enti

As the power of ice was sweeping across the battlefield, the forming ice wasn’t blue or white in color. The ice that was spreading on the ground and creating wall around the battlefield was color black and no light could pierce through it.A strange coldness appeared and it was starting to freeze space itself!”“So this is the power! He’s creating ice and freezing space itself... What a strange ice. It’s color black!” Flay was amazed as the dark dome started to rise.“Fire belongs to the heavens and the chilling cold belongs to those in darkness. Light brings heat, and utter darkness brings a terrifying frost. In the blackest darkness is the first Abbadon that hated the light. And those who follow the Abbadon recieve this heritage. The heritage of this Halfling is weak. It is a weak application of freezing space. But still, its impressive! Those of Three Quarts should have this power. This Halfling should be quite powerful among his peers.” Kairo answered.Flay saw the ice dome forming

Decalan only heard a strange buzzing sound and turned around to see what it was.His ice energy was not concentrated in one area as he had sent it to attack Stryder on one side, and he used it to attack and encase Flay on the other. He never expected the iceberg that he had used to cover the Calamity bomb to be the target. But of course, it was all according to the fighting strategy of Flay.He revealed no intention of attacking the iceberg since the start, and all attacks were focused on Decalan. This strategy made no sense for Flay to recklessly detonate the bomb since it would also burn and attack him!But now, Flay had one. He caused the ice to cover both him and Stryder in a reckless gamble that the ice would be enough to protect them from the concentrated power of three Experts. The massive explosion occurred instantly and broke the already cracking iceberg. Decalan didn’t even expect the attack and was elated at his victory. Unfortunately, there was no time or enough ice on the

It seems that the death of Decalan has made them lose their focus!” Flay cheered.“It seems that the city won’t fall now. They held on marvelously! Master, I’ll send my Nokk to inform your team. Destroying the portal will further weaken the Anomalous Beasts as their lives are connected to Tartaros. If you do that, your teams should be able to advance especially with the mages presnet.. I’ll tell your allies that they need to go to you to save you. After destroying the portal, we can fight and kill as many Anomalous beasts within the place where the portal to Tartaros was to make it look like we were busy and had no opportunity to fight and make an appearance.”“I guess that’ll leave no room for doubt that I am my own master... That Xandra’s too sharp.”“Yes. This way, she won’t find out! It’s too dange

Many were in pain, and most at the front lines had weakened and given the soldiers a fighting chance. The armies of the West pushed back, and morale was high as they started to kill the terrifying beasts that plagued them. The presence of the Ice Nook was a great help as it continued to rush back and forth to the aqueduct and deliver pools of frozen ice that crashed on the scattering beast. From a siege, it became a hunt.Westerfort had won!Leading the way, the team of Arthen funneled through the beasts and even inspired the Mid Adepts to fight on.Scythe was leaping and dashing through as they charged toward the forest. But they still met many battles along the way as the beasts realized that their way back home was no more. Many fled to hide, while others remained to fight back.Because of the lessening pressure in the fortress, communication was finally made possible. The reports of monster calamity were repo

He turned his head up and noticed that it was a luxurious bed, and the entire room was scented with numerous alchemic herbs for rest and healing. The entire energy was leaking energy that staying inside the area would help those grow in their levels! It was the most expensive chamber in the Westerforts, more expensive than the Legendary Training arena. It was the Heroes Infirmary.Guards and physicians were present, as well as a few priests who were constantly checking on the status of those nearby.Nearby were numerous other beds with people sleeping on them. Those inside belonged to Adepts of the Westerforts and the mages of the Northerforts. In addition, those considered to be among the elite and who had fought in the war were there.Experts and Adepts filled the room, and Flay quickly identified the locations of his allies. I heard you played a role in keeping the walls closed up. Still, Asteria did do well in this battle. But had it not been for Flay’s master, she would have died. Here, of all places! Far from the land she was sworn to protect. There would have been some nobility if she died fighting the home of mages. I’d say… she’s lucky.” Catalina smirked as she glanced at Arthen.“There is clearly a vast difference in our ideology. Perhaps it was the way you two spoiled brats were raised. Daughters of a Great Expert. Does the chaos of the world not bother you?”“Hmph. I am merely saying our potential is much greater that we cannot allow ourselves to be caught up in such annoying nonsense. In this kingdom, many are expendables. But we are unexpendable.”“And yet, the two unexpendable ladies are guarding a Slime Tamer. Is it annoying? I can tell you really ha

Flay was even more intrigued. He had just shown the entire Beastmaster tribe his ability, yet they were certain he would die.He had just fought against an Expert, and while others were skeptical of his attempts, it was still a very impressive feat.“I guess I shouldn’t press my luck. Besides, there are more important matters at hand… This place has too many enemies. I have to also regain much of my lost strength and awaken the Eos System.” Flay decided. If this Chimera was something so powerful that everyone was convinced he was still inadequate, he would have to pursue other means to gain strength.“What is this… chimera?” Estelle asked in the midst of the angry accusations of Darwood and Trailtree.“My king… That is the beast that we have sealed long ago. The creature who was once sealed at the death of my great grandfather.” Primeroot finally spoke.“Trovine Primeroot… The greatest Beast Master who achieved the impossible and reached beyond Great Expert…” The King recalled.“Yes.

That staff is too much of a prize for us. But... Instead of Tenscream, we will offer you another beast instead. An Expert just like Tenscream. But, you have to tame it. You are confident of taming them, aren’t you?” Narood smiled.“Hmmm... Depends. I’m not saying that I can tame any and all monsters. There are several that will take a lot of effort.” Flay recalled the monsters he faced in his world. Particularly, the Carcadon.“I wonder if they tamed him?” Flay thought to himself. The strange expression and distant gaze of Flay irritated the beastmasters.“Then since we are all agreed...” Narood smiled.“Go and start taming them. Of course, we will set a time limit. You have five minutes! Show us! Show us how one can be the pack leader of the wolves!” Narood taunted.Everyone gave a curious look at Flay.“Here’s a l

A mere Rookie demands to take away my Tamed Beast?!""I already took control of it and made it attack you. Why not?" Flay sneered."That...! That was a trick! An evil trick!""So? I have the skill! Has anyone ever controlled your monster apart from yourself?" Flay countered."My monster is linked to my staff! Without the staff, you wouldn't have tamed it!""Did anyone manage to tame your beast using the staff?" Flay asked. There was silence as everyone awkwardly looked at each other.Zegwood was turning blue from holding back his breath and the urge to smack the kid before him."And you were doing a poor job at managing the kennels, I'll tell you that much. The three generals revealed their power, which made the beastmasters cower. These were the strongest generals who often guarded the walls! But as Kairo had explained, they were actually weaker! Most of the Experts didn't pay much heed to this. After all, the three could have only revealed whatever portion of their power they were comfortable with.Only those who knew of the poison were delighted at how fast the progress was. A few months ago, no changes could be seen. But now, it was becoming increasingly clear."... It's so rare to see all three of you abandon your post. Especially now that the Beast of Dark Savagery lingers outside our walls." Narood answered. His eyes had an arrogance in him, for he knew, soon, he would surpass these three!"The Beast of Dark Savagery has all been slain. Remember their sudden retreat in the last war? They were being summoned. And they were all killed by the Master of that boy you are trying to kill." Holy Knight Galavus answered with certainty.Eve

But now, with their lives and families on the line, no one dared to keep the gates closed and be charged with treason.Holy Knight Galavus was famous for the incident known as the Path of Red that occurred in the previous wars against the Joverus Kingdom Alliance. It was here that the power of the Kalenshore Kingdom was revealed. For while the rest practiced magic, they combined it with Brute power and revolutionized warfare. At the center of all this was Holy Knight Galavus, who was the strongest and eventually led the other Experts to his path. When a great battle between the kingdoms happened, an ambush forced the King to retreat.Galavus stayed and fought against several Experts and an army. But his defenses were simply too firm, and his Brute, too powerful that all the magics that struck

Flay also added."If it's the princess…" One of the High Adepts thought."The Princess? Why would we bring her here? Is she even the Princess?" The expert that healed Tenscream asked."What do you mean by... that?" Ephesus frowned."We know that within the kingdom, assassinations and infiltrations have happened. The Dark Priest enlists Mimics who have entered this city. Have you tested her to see if she is a mimic?""If you think mere mimics can stand before us and fool us, then we would not have been her guard! Is not Vallenhall with us?" Ephesus challenged."Indeed. Chapter 323: Against Two Experts

Because of Flay’s innate ability to gauge a person's Brute and Magic energy, Flay could quickly tell where he could land a powerful damage. He knew that Ephesus would go to his defense. He commanded the Cerberus to make a bite on the other leg. The Brute energy was divided between the legs and the arm. And because of this, Flay weakened that part of the body. Flay’s pitiful strength of 12 points, added with 20 points of Brute energy, half of his defenses of 17 points, and 10 points worth of magic, totaled 59 points worth of punch. This attack would be equal to a mid-level apprentice's. It shouldn’t leave damage to the defenses of any average expert. But in that specific scenario, the guard of Zegwood and the natural vulnerability of that area was enough. Had his stat point been three points lower, this attack would not have worked, and if the Expert was in any way more guarded, then his natural Brute could easily defend against it. POW! Flay's fist dug deep into the groin as it
