Flay waited, and the power of the Lightning energy was enchanted on the Water Slime as the Green Slime activated the power that merged with the Form of Mercury of the Water slime.

The lightning sword was sparked brightly that brightened the twilight.

Xandra saw the light sparked area and knew that the Midnight Panther would be just behind it.

The trio charged, and Glum sprinted from the back with his weapon drawn. Luckily, no Night panther remained as all were headed towards the pleading cry of their leader.

Finally, the Panthers arrived and charged at Flay.

Flay dashed forward and performed Dash and Slash.

“Lightning Dash and Slash!” Flay roared as he erupted in Brute power and sent him flying with great dexterity.

The powerful cut sliced through two pouncing Night Panthers.

Strange dark energy was leaked out of the halved body of the Night Panthers as the dark energy that empowered them was purged from the blade.<

Kairo saw the figure stand, and he could tell that the spirit was a departed soul of an Eos.The mystery of what happens beyond death was very confusing for those who are not bound to the underworld's realms. But one thing was certain: it is very difficult, even for the Eos or the devils, to eradicate the life power. Even with the power of Pluton, Flay could only absorb many souls and merge them with another. In most cases, souls are transferred and harnessed into something else and never fully eradicated. But for the Eos, it was an even more difficult concept to comprehend. There was a mystery in the vision he saw. In that vision, Pluton clearly died. However, Pluton declared that death would not be his end, and Jupiter even told Kairo that he would be the seal. So it was another mystery as to why he was the seal.Pluton’s identity as an Eos was also taken from him at the declaration of Jupiter. The power he felt that altered all of the existence a

After several attempts and ‘re-connection’ the group finally managed to get a clear line and was able to communicate without distortions. “I am Nodin. I am the king of the dark forest lands that grow beyond the land of many small waters.” “He’s talking about the Pond Lands…” “I met Great Hero Flay on there and saw the strange slime he was with. Back then, it had great darkness in it.” “The Dark Mark. The Carcadon had a power he released to mark me with great darkness that he could sense. Master Flay and I had to do several… annoying things to mask that dark energy. And eventually, we were able to destroy it.” Kairo revealed. “Kairo… Just what are you? How can you cast fire, water, and lightning magic?” “I invoke my right t

Manny the Mammoth was another monster that would change the quality of life of the Tamers.Adept-level monsters or those which are Low to Mid E-Ranked monsters would practically eliminate the fear of being wiped out. Most of the monsters that would hunt them would fear this beast. The Midnight Panther had speed, mobility, and frightening assassinating abilities. It also had a pack. But the sheer brute might of the Mammoth was something that would make the Hunts so much easier for the Hunters.“If we free him… it would be amazing!” Glum shouted in excitement.“It will be of help. That Mammoth can be a huge help that will be a powerful offensive force that could break through the enemy's ranks and a stalwart wall to defend us. But you have to do something not make the Warlocks assume that we tamed it.” Xandra warned.

An Apprentice-6 was possible to create among tamers. They could gather the resource to pay for it.But the price to become Apprentice-6 warriors was so high that the Tamers felt it was a waste to pursue it. Unfortunately, the Kingdom set such a high price that they would be paying three times the amount of the Apprentice-5. So the Tamers focused only on making others level up instead of pursuing this level. After Rookie-4, the Tamers would take a long time to reach the next level through physical training. And the amount they had to pay to get the clearance to create an Apprentice-6 was already enough to push several Rookie-4 to the high Rookie-7 level. Thus, the tamers were never luxurious enough to create one. But now, they had a free conversion occurring.Manny devoured most of the ener

Dirk returned to the Tamers to report that a group of Pegasus had flown to the sky and ensure that no one else would move.Meanwhile, Xandra and Flay managed to approach the back of the enclosed valley.A massive amount of thick vines had rooted itself on the outskirts, and it was as if it covered all gaps between the trees, creating a towering wall.Yet even though the vines seemed to be tightening their hold on the forest, the trees seemed healthy.“Amazing. I’ve heard stories from the previous hunts... But I never thought it would look like this.” Flay admired.“They say that a powerful plant beast lives within. It protects the valley. The vines aren’t actually choking these trees but are only covering the path. But Dara is leading us straigh

Xandra's shocking statement caused the Pegasus to feel a strange ray of hope.Dara proudly bore Xandra and Flay as the group continued to talk.“I request that you give us a moment to discuss your interesting proposal. We wish to talk to your mount, Dara. We can see that she proudly carries both of you and values you as her ally. But we cannot trust that. Remove your power from her and allow us to talk to her.”Xandra shook her head.“I refuse. What you ask is impossible. A portion of Dara’s soul is within my Taming Jewel. Through this, we can communicate as our souls are speaking the very thoughts to each other. I can honestly say that while I am her master and that her soul is bound to me, her choice and pride to do that is her own.”“That I can certain for sure. You are not the only one with s

  • Tales of the Slime Tamer   Chapter 58: Low-Grade Water Elemental Core

During Flay’s free moments, Kairo had once explained the qualities of the Elemental Cores. Elemental Cores were magical elemental powers that had ‘life’ of their own. They could naturally harness the energy and create forms of elemental energies on their own. Because of this miraculous state, Elemental Cores become one of the most necessary things for those who desire to grow stronger in power. And Elemental Cores were not only used by mages of all sorts. They are even used by warriors, knights, and other Brute practitioners. Even though Brute Power practitioners need to increase their Brute Power, those that control the elements are a class higher. Their attacks, defense, speed, and life force are generally stronger than those who do not have Brute Power. If two Brute practitioners of the same level fight, the one with the Elemental Core will easily win. In the Kingdom, Kairo assumed that given its very poor and illiterate state in terms of its knowledge of cultivation, those who a

The Battle Steed was the noblest of monsters in Monster’s Edge. It was also the dream mount of many. The scouting tamers would report of this glorious Steed marching across the planes. They were stronger than the Unicorns, who had majestic magic. However, while it was strong, the Brute power of the Unicorn was actually weak compared to monsters of the same level. The Battle Steed was a member of the Harass, which had amazing Brute Power. The Might Wolves could not even defeat these beasts, and only the Alpha wolves could threaten members of the Steed. Even Night Panthers feared when these stallions neighed. Whenever the Tamers hear the mighty hooves of the Battles Steeds resounding across the Grasslands, they feel safe. These Battle Steeds were also paramount to righteousness as the Scouting Tamers

Flay was even more intrigued. He had just shown the entire Beastmaster tribe his ability, yet they were certain he would die.He had just fought against an Expert, and while others were skeptical of his attempts, it was still a very impressive feat.“I guess I shouldn’t press my luck. Besides, there are more important matters at hand… This place has too many enemies. I have to also regain much of my lost strength and awaken the Eos System.” Flay decided. If this Chimera was something so powerful that everyone was convinced he was still inadequate, he would have to pursue other means to gain strength.“What is this… chimera?” Estelle asked in the midst of the angry accusations of Darwood and Trailtree.“My king… That is the beast that we have sealed long ago. The creature who was once sealed at the death of my great grandfather.” Primeroot finally spoke.“Trovine Primeroot… The greatest Beast Master who achieved the impossible and reached beyond Great Expert…” The King recalled.“Yes.

Narood and the other experts and high-level adjuncts returned with a rather confident look on themselves.“It seems you finally are agreeing.” Flay smiled.“We will agree. That staff is too much of a prize for us. But... Instead of Tenscream, we will offer you another beast instead. An Expert just like Tenscream. But, you have to tame it. You are confident of taming them, aren’t you?” Narood smiled.“Hmmm... Depends. I’m not saying that I can tame any and all monsters. There are several that will take a lot of effort.” Flay recalled the monsters he faced in his world. Particularly, the Carcadon.“I wonder if they tamed him?” Flay thought to himself. The strange expression and distant gaze of Flay irritated the beastmasters.“Then since we are all agreed...” Narood smiled.“Go and start taming them. Of course, we will set a time limit. You have five minutes! Show us! Show us how one can be the pack leader of the wolves!” Narood taunted.Everyone gave a curious look at Flay.“Here’s a l

Flay's words caused a great commotion and surprise to all who listened.Zegwood was shocked at Flay's declaration. But as a few seconds passed, the arrogant rookie's implication and demand slowly settled in his head."What?! A mere Rookie demands to take away my Tamed Beast?!""I already took control of it and made it attack you. Why not?" Flay sneered."That...! That was a trick! An evil trick!""So? I have the skill! Has anyone ever controlled your monster apart from yourself?" Flay countered."My monster is linked to my staff! Without the staff, you wouldn't have tamed it!""Did anyone manage to tame your beast using the staff?" Flay asked. There was silence as everyone awkwardly looked at each other.Zegwood was turning blue from holding back his breath and the urge to smack the kid before him."And you were doing a poor job at managing the kennels, I'll tell you that much. The wolves would grow stronger if allowed to roam in the wild. I was only planning to tame a few wolves and

After all, the three could have only revealed whatever portion of their power they were comfortable with.Only those who knew of the poison were delighted at how fast the progress was. A few months ago, no changes could be seen. But now, it was becoming increasingly clear."... It's so rare to see all three of you abandon your post. Especially now that the Beast of Dark Savagery lingers outside our walls." Narood answered. His eyes had an arrogance in him, for he knew, soon, he would surpass these three!"The Beast of Dark Savagery has all been slain. Remember their sudden retreat in the last war? They were being summoned. And they were all killed by the Master of that boy you are trying to kill." Holy Knight Galavus answered with certainty.Eve

The expert that healed Tenscream asked."What do you mean by... that?" Ephesus frowned."We know that within the kingdom, assassinations and infiltrations have happened. The Dark Priest enlists Mimics who have entered this city. Have you tested her to see if she is a mimic?""If you think mere mimics can stand before us and fool us, then we would not have been her guard! Is not Vallenhall with us?" Ephesus challenged."Indeed. Chapter 323: Against Two Experts

Because of Flay’s innate ability to gauge a person's Brute and Magic energy, Flay could quickly tell where he could land a powerful damage. He knew that Ephesus would go to his defense. He commanded the Cerberus to make a bite on the other leg. The Brute energy was divided between the legs and the arm. And because of this, Flay weakened that part of the body. Flay’s pitiful strength of 12 points, added with 20 points of Brute energy, half of his defenses of 17 points, and 10 points worth of magic, totaled 59 points worth of punch. This attack would be equal to a mid-level apprentice's. It shouldn’t leave damage to the defenses of any average expert. But in that specific scenario, the guard of Zegwood and the natural vulnerability of that area was enough. Had his stat point been three points lower, this attack would not have worked, and if the Expert was in any way more guarded, then his natural Brute could easily defend against it. POW! Flay's fist dug deep into the groin as it
