You've Not Changed, Have You?

“There you go,” Max smiled as he alighted from the taxi, then gave the driver his money.

“Thank you sir, but the fare is not that much, it's just ten dollars.” The driver smiled, looking at the hundred dollar bill in Max's outstretched hands.

“Oh,” Max muttered.

“Don't worry about that, you can just have it.” Max smiled as he pushed the hundred-dollar bill into the driver's hands and walked away.

He wasn't in the mood to seek change, besides, he didn't have one in his pocket. The one inside his pocket was another hundred-dollar bill, and maybe it was going to take him to the airport.

“Thank you, sir.” The taxi driver smiled and thanked Max before driving away.

Max nodded and watched the taxi disappear into the distance. After a while, he turned around and looked at the building in front of him.

In front of him was a restaurant. Looking at the restaurant, memories resurfaced in Max's mind. Before he had a dispute with his father, he would come here with his father and dine once now and
