Chapter 63 - Lucas' captivity

As Lucas yanked out the depleted syringe out of his arm, a surge of fear washed over him. He recognized the imminent consequences as he had been subjected to it in the past.

He knew that his body would succumb to the sedative within seconds. He knew he would be unconscious for hours, completely vulnerable. He knew that he would transported to a place where he didn't know and the things he knew caused panic to well up inside him, but there was a glimmer of hope in his eyes as he surveyed the scene before him.

Realizing he was the only one still in the dilapidated flaps of the house, Lucas's mind raced. His brothers, fiercely loyal and protective, would undoubtedly come looking for him when they found that he hadn't made it.

He clung to the belief that they would find him and bring him back to the fold and that they would be reunited soon. Faith coursed through his veins, despite the dire circumstances.
