Chapter 65 - Lucas as a pawn

As Lucas slowly opened his eyes, his surroundings came into focus slowly. He was reminded of his last scene, he remembered the empty syringe that made him drowsy. With his blurred eyes, he wondered if he was still under the effect.

He fixed his eyes on the ceiling and this made him realize that was laying recumbent on a soft, cushioned surface within a dimly lit chamber.

He moved his eyes from left to right to check the walls and saw that there were hangings that made no sense to him. His memories were still his as he could still feel the absence of his brothers and the distance between him and his beloved sister.

When he could make nothing of his surroundings, his eyes returned to the ceiling. The ceiling towered high above, casting long and dark shadows across the room.

Lucas' mind revealed to him that It was a witch's lair, and at that moment, it all made sense as the space was adorned with various eerie accoutrements that sent chills down Lucas's spine.
