Chapter 83 - Finding Lucas

According to Alistair's wish, the portal delivered him to the hunters' lair, where he believed his brother, Lucas had been kept.

The hallway stretched out before Alistair, dimly lit and foreboding. As he ventured deeper into the lair, he tiptoed, not wanting to be heard.

The weight of his brother's well-being rested heavily upon his shoulders. He believed that he was close and nothing should stop him.

Finally, Alistair reached his destination - a room cloaked in shadows. Inside, a single bed stood against the wall.

On the bed was Lucas, who lay motionless upon it, connected to an intricate web of tubes that carried the life-giving fluid of his blood into a nearby flask.

Alistair's heart sank at the sight, anger and despair swirling within him at the sight of his brother. He thought he was dead.
