Chapter 27 - Jasmin's secret (2)

It was a lovely day. We were all busy getting ready. My father assisted me with the knots as my mother and sister argued about which clothing to wear. My mother chooses to dress her favourite ones. It had a blue and white colour scheme. She also forced my sister to wear the newest one.

I was the luckiest since I was unlike my sister. I enjoy wearing my favourite outfit. My father picked his most costly outfit as well. It was unusual because I'd never seen him in the dress before. Even when he had an important meeting with VVIPs, he never wore them. I gave him a strange look. He smiled, then patted my hair and kissed me on the forehead. Before he left, he whispered something in my ear.

It was the happiest moment of my life because I was going to have a baby brother. I was so excited that I was about to jump with joy, but my father quickly gave me a gesture to stay silent. He used his lip movements to tell me it was a secret, and my sister still doesn't know.
