Chapter 25

Cassandra and her father have finished packing up and they're now on their way home. None of them said a word to the other. No one wanted to break the unnecessary silence. Cassandra was still sniffing and every once in a while she wiped the snort that was constantly running down her nose.

They arrive at the Kingston villa. Some of the servants come out to welcome them. And they carried the properties they brought back into the house.

When they stepped into the sitting room, they noticed that Clare and Victor were there already, waiting for them. Cassandra rushed to her boyfriend and threw herself at him. He caught her and started consoling her, whispering words of encouragement like; this is not the end of the world nor is it the end of your career, when one door closes, another bigger one opens. This and many more were said to help her stop crying.
